Zachary Levi Or Chuck Talks Where He Sees Show Headed

What does Zachary Levi, or Chuck's Chuck, want for his character when he returns for the third season? Levi would like to see "The birth of a superhero, you know," he admitted when he sat down for an interview with Televisionary (aka Jace) just after production had started last fall.

In the just-released video interview, Levi offered his thoughts about our favorite bumbling spy, who may not be quite as bumbling now that his brain has been upgraded with the Intersect 2.0 giving him mad physical spy skills to go with his ability to flash on the government secrets installed in his head.

"I think as he starts to get more of a handle on the Intersect and all that stuff, and just trains in the everyday stuff," said Levi, "he's going to become what fate had always meant for him to become, which was the best spy in the world."

However, Levi also sounds pretty excited at the thought of playing Chuck, Action Hero. "It's definitely different, and I love it. I love every second of it. For two years I've sat on the sidelines watching Baldwin and Strahovski kick ass, and finally I get to go in there and have some fun as well. ... I want to get some more guns in my hands. I want to kick some bad-guy butt. You know, all the various gadgets and gizmos aplenty. Whosits and whatsits galore. I want to be part of all of that."

Below is the video, in which Levi talks about the show's renewal, Chuck fu, and why Sarah's like Chuck's red kryptonite. Chuck's season three premieres Sunday, Jan. 10, at 9 p.m. ET/PT with a two-hour episode, and then moves to its regular timeslot on Monday, Jan. 11, at 8 p.m.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy.
