Batman: The Killing Joke wastes a golden opportunity to return WB to animation greatness. WARNING: This review contains major spoilers. Review by Matt Cummings As an avid collector of the DC Animated Universe, I've been a little miffed at the many recent changes behind the scenes. With Producer Bruce Timm hitting a homerun with both Batman: The Animated Series and Justice League , his removal in recent years (replacing him with James Tucker) has since left the animated side of DC feeling entirely empty. Replacing familiar voices for (frankly) cheaper ones, the films have suffered as well. ‘ Batman: The Killing Joke ’ Becomes Widest Ever Fathom Events Release, Now Showing at 1,000+ Cinemas Due to Overwhelming Demand, More Than 300 Theaters Added for One-Night Theatrical Event on Monday, July 25 WHAT: Due to overwhelming fan demand and sold out theaters in major markets, more than 300 theater locations have been added for the big-screen debut of “Batman: The Killing Joke,” now showing at over 1,000 U.S. cinemas and making this the widest rollout for any event in Fathom Events’ history.
