In a new adaptation of Stephen King’s classic thriller from the producers of The Invisible Man, a girl with extraordinary pyrokinetic powers fights to protect her family and herself from sinister forces that seek to capture and control her.    For more than a decade, parents Andy ( Zac Efron ; Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile; The Greatest Showman) and Vicky ( Sydney Lemmon ; Fear the Walking Dead, Succession) have been on the run, desperate to hide their daughter Charlie ( Ryan Kiera Armstrong ; American Horror Story: Double Feature, The Tomorrow War) from a shadowy federal agency that wants to harness her unprecedented gift for creating fire into a weapon of mass destruction.      Andy has taught Charlie how to defuse her power, which is triggered by anger or pain. Grab your sunglasses, your bubblegum, and your shotgun as Death Waltz Recording Company is bringing back John Carpenter and Alan Howarth 's brilliant score to They Live . The soundtrack will go on sale January 30, 2019 at MondoTees.com. A classic story of one man fighting for the freedom of the world with a great science fiction twist, the movie is full of amazing dialogue and also contains the greatest fistfight in the history of cinema. Like most of Carpenter's films, They Live has an urban western feel to it, which is emphasised by the infectious score. Celebrated designer and artist Alan Hynes has crafted a spectacular collectible package for the soundtrack befitting the film’s theme of subliminal communication, utilizing the iconic sunglasses to reveal hidden messages as you pull the disc sleeve from the slip case. “They Live is as relevant now as it was when it was first released in 1988, maybe even more so. We are thrilled to be re-issuing the soundtrack of t

Snake Plissken To Stay a 'Bad-Ass.'" In Reboot

Snake Plissken To Stay a 'Bad-Ass.'" In Reboot Sure you are tried of hearing the same old news, another reboot. Well sorry to tell you they are going to reboot the classic John Carpenter film Escape From New York. New Line Cinema is quickly moving forward thanks to a rewrite from Allan Loeb, the man who rescued the Wall Street sequel from development limbo over at Fox. A big reason for the fast track was creative: Loeb nailed the humor in Plissken without slipping into camp, and he changed Snake’s rescue-mission target from a president to a female senator, thereby upping the banter quotient. But just as big a factor was economic: They found a much cheaper way to turn Manhattan into a giant prison. And more importantly, good ol' Snake remains largely the same. Legally, he has to be. We learned that in order to land the rights, New Line had to sign a contract with John Carpenter stipulating, among other things, that Plissken "must be called 'Snake'";

The Thing Prequel To Begin Filming In March

The Thing Prequel To Begin Filming In March The prequel to John Carpenter’s classic horror film The Thing is going to start shooting in March! I have been pretty excited about seeing the potential that his film has. I hope it is realized in a way that lives up to the awesome standards of the original, which is still a freakin' great movie! The Thing prequel is being set up at Universal Pictures and is being directed by a commercial director named Matthijis van Heijiningen Jr. This prequel will dive into the story of how this alien being ended up crashing near the Norwegian camp. The original script was written by Ronald D. Moore and then Eric Heisserer stepped in to do some major re-writes. In an interview back in August he gave a little info on what he and the director did to construct the story. It's a really fascinating way to construct a story because were doing it by autopsy, by examining very, very closely everything we know about the Norwegian camp and about the eve
