Masters of the Universe: Revelation Review 'GREAT return to ETERNIA! Great animation, exhilarating action, jaw dropping moments'

The Help Lands At The Top Of The Box Office

DreamWorks and Participant Media’s The Help continued to overperform in its second weekend, beating a new round of competitors in grossing $20.5 million and coming in No. 1 at the domestic box office. Distributed by Disney, The Help has racked up $71.3 million in its first 10 days of release. The pic fell less than 22% from its opening weekend, when it came in No. 2. To rise to No. 1 is an unusual feat, and reflects the film's great buzz. The Help movie review . Rise of the Planet of the Apes , from 20th Century Fox, also remained a worthy contender in its third weekend, falling only 41% to an estimated $16.3 million for a domestic cume of $133.8 million and coming in No. 2. The Help and Rise of the Apes left the weekend’s four new films struggling. Robert Rodriguez’s Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D , from the Weinstein Co./Dimension, did the best of the bunch, coming in No. 3 and grossing an estimated $12 million. Craig Gillespie Talks Pride And Prejudice And Zombies

Jane Austen purists, eat your heart out. It’s going to happen to some of your favorite characters anyway. Lars and the Real Girl director Craig Gillespie finalized his deal yesterday to helm the big-screen version of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies , based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s bestselling fusion of Austen’s 19th century comedy of manners and romance with a nightmarish horde of flesh-eating undead. Gillespie recently wrapped a remake of the ’80s cult classic Fright Night , with Colin Farrell as the unfriendly neighborhood vampire, and plans to begin shooting P+P+Z at the end of summer. Gillespie spoke exclusively to EW about how he plans to make zombies seem natural in the early-1800′s British countryside, and whether Austen film alums Colin Firth and Keira Knightley could make cameos… I’m trying to think of a common thread between your three recent films – Lars and the Real Girl, the Fright Night remake, and now Pride and Prejudice and Zombies — and all I can figure is tha

Christopher Mintz-Plasse stars as Charlie's best buddy "Evil" Ed -- and adds another notch to his geek cinema belt. Imogen Poots plays a popular high schooler who must rely on the nerdy Charlie to protect her. This truly is a film of unspeakable horrors. Charlie Brewster ( Anton Yelchin ) knows his next-door neighbor Jerry Dandridge ( Colin Farrell ) is a vampire, but no one will believe him. How much more proof do they need? Charlie ( Anton Yelchin ) is a teenager convinced that his new neighbor ( Colin Farrell ) is a vampire. Toni Collette plays the boy's disbelieving mother, who falls under the vam

Tennant will play Peter Vincent , a character who in the original movie was played by Roddy McDowall as the host of a late-night horror show. In the remake, he’s a Las Vegas magician whose show revolves around horror-movie imagery. Vincent claims to be a vampire expert, but when the teen turns to him for assistance, he’s less than helpful. Mintz-Plasse is playing Evil Ed, Yelchin’s friend who feels slighted that Charlie has left his nerdy past behind and thus joins the vampire’s coven. The movie marks the first real foray into

Colin Farrell Joins Cast Of Fright Night

Colin Farrell Joins Cast Of Fright Night Colin Farrell has stayed away from studio films in the last few years, but now has found two he can sink his teeth into. I'm told Farrell has just committed to play Jerry Dandrige who is the neighbor/vampire in Fright Night, the Craig Gillespie-directed DreamWorks remake of the 1985 thriller that will also star Anton Yelchin and Toni Collette. In Fright Night, he'll play the role originated by Chris Sarandon, the charming bloodsucker who tries to cover his tracks when his young horror-film-fanatic neighbor become sure he's a vampire come to drain the populace. I can remember when the strong buzz off the Joel Schumacher-directed Tigerland convinced studios that the Irish actor was going to be the next Tom Cruise. The majors threw all kinds of projects at Farrell, with multi-million dollar offers. It wasn't going at all well at the box office for Farrell by the time he did his last big studio film, Miami Vice with Universal

Fright Night Remake Is A Go

Fright Night Remake Is A Go Looks like they will remake almost any movie made in the 80's. Even the really bad ones. Who Really wants to see a remake of this fill? Please raise your hands. Only up side about this film will be that it is being penned by "Mad Men" writer-producer Marti Noxon . The original "Fright Night," released in 1985, was written and directed by Tom Holland and starred Chris Sarandon, Roddy McDowall and William Ragsdale. Ragsdale played a teenager who discovers his neighbors are vampires. The new version will keep the comedy-horror tone while modernizing the effects. Producers Michael De Luca, Michael Gaeta and Alison Rosenzweig set up the "Fright Night" project in May. DreamWorks co-president of production Mark Sourian is overseeing for the studio.
