BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

#Itmovie Has A Huge Opening Weekend

After the disappointment of The Dark Tower , there must have been concern about the potential performance of It . Turns out, no one needed to worry – the new Stephen King horror adaptation has smashed records with a hugely successful $117 million opening at the US box office, according to studio estimates. It nabbed the largest September opening, largest autumn opening, and the largest opening for a horror movie of any rating. Clearly Pennywise the terrifying clown touched a few nerves while scaring up plenty of business. The follow-up, which will catch up with the Losers' Club kids from the movie as adults, is already in the works and there's clearly some anticipation for it now. And the film also did well overseas, taking in $62 million for a $179.1 million global opening. There was a big gap between the horror and its comrade in new arrival status, but programming a Reese Witherspoon comedy – which itself has enjoyed good reviews – against It has panned out. The Hitman's Bodyguard On Top Again

It was a slooooow weekend at the US box office, with little in the way of truly notable wide releases. Which might go some way to explaining why The Hitman's Bodyguard stayed top of the charts. The Ryan Reynolds/Samuel L. Jackson action caper added $10 million, according to studio estimates. That means the film has thus far earned $39.6 million in the States, and clung to its place for a second week. Annabelle: Creation also stayed where it was in second, bringing in $7.3 million. The first of this week's main new arrivals was animated ballet pic Leap! , which landed third on $5 million. It beat Wind River , which increased its screen count and jumped up the top 10 to fourth with $4.4 million. Rounding out the top five we find Logan Lucky , down from third with $4.3 million. Dunkirk dropped to sixth on $3.9 million, while Spider-Man: Homecoming showed sticking power at seventh with $2.7 million. Eighth was the week's second newcomer, Bruce Lee drama Birth Of The Dr

Movie Review: #WindRiver A Perfect Thriller!

Suspenseful. A perfect thriller! RAMA has returned. The screenwriter who gave us “Sicario” and “Hell or High Water” has come back with “Wind River” which he also directed and I am now convinced more than ever that Taylor Sheridan is one of the best storytellers of our time. There’s something about his thrillers that are just so cunning and sharp and profound, like a great American classic, even novelist Dennis Lehane probably couldn’t come up with materials that are as skillfully played as this. And with “Wind River” Sheridan’s personal artistry mission to do some effort to right the wrongs that the system has committed against the Native Americans, continues. The story is about a rookie FBI agent (Elizabeth Olsen) who teams up with a tracker/hunter (Jeremy Renner) with a tragic past in order to investigate the murder of a local girl on a remote Native American Reservation. Sheridan has tackled themes surrounding the Native Americans before but with this latest one, it’s
