BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Shrek & Puss in Boots Are Getting A Reboot

Variety is reporting “ Shrek ” and “ Puss in Boots ” are getting rebooted and Chris Meledandri , the man behind “ Despicable Me ,” is overseeing their revival. Universal Pictures has tasked Meledandri with finding some fresh story lines to reintroduce the lovable ogre and the sword-wielding feline to new generations of moviegoers. One thing the animation guru doesn’t want to mess with is with the vocal performances. Part of the popularity of “Shrek” is attributable to a voice cast that included Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas, and in a lengthy profile in Variety, Meledandri says he would like to get the band back together. “When you look back on those vocal performances they’re awesome, and while you certainly could make a case for a complete reinvention, I find myself responding to my own nostalgic feelings of wanting to go back to those characterizations,” explains Meledandri. “The challenge for us has been to find something that really does feel like it’s not sim

The Secret Life Of Pets Opens Huge

One set of adorable animals made way for another this weekend at the US box office, as reigning champ Finding Dory was finally deposed and Illumination's The Secret Life Of Pets took its place at the top of the charts with a studio-estimated $103.1 million. Movie Review: #TheSecretLifeOfPets- The new arrival surpassed expectations and proved to be another big winner for the company which already has its Despicable Me and Minions films up and running. Plus, given the team's commitment to lower budgets (the new movie cost around $75 million, which is around half some of the competition), it's already headed to profitable territory. The second place position is a still under contention, though the estimates show The Legend Of Tarzan currently holding on with $20.6 million, ahead of Dory in third on $20.3 million. Pixar and Disney are still happy with the film though, since it's now the animation house's top grossing film and has passed Captain America: Civ

DR. SEUSS’ THE LORAX Movie Review By: RAMA

DR. SEUSS’ THE LORAX Movie Review By: RAMA So how did RAMA feel about DR. SEUSS’ THE LORAX ? Make sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . There’s nothing more frustrating than an average movie, you can’t fully like it and you can’t get yourself to fully hate it either. It’s one of those cases where you’re grateful for certain characters that exist, otherwise you’d throw a tantrum. THE LORAX is faithful to the original material, to Dr. Seuss’ book but you couldn’t care less for the mountains of additional elements that the movie features. The book advising you to care for trees is nice but a full blown movie doing exactly that feels more like Hollywood, for the gazillionth time again, shoving down its environmental sermons down your throat… From the creators of Despicable Me and the imagination of Dr. Seuss comes the 3D-CG feature Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, an adaptation of the classic tale of a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope. The animated adventure foll

Top 10 Films Of 2010

There Are Some Surprises With the year coming close to the end we thought we would wrap up the Top Ten films of 2010 . The list ranges from A toy in a box to sexy vampires, a boy wizard, a green ogre and even a titan if you can believe that.  I was surprised to see some of the box office totals for these film. Check out the list after the Jump.. 1.Toy Story 3 The Pixar threequel, shot in 3D, grossed $1.1 billion at the box office . Domestically, it grossed a handy $415 million. The news overseas was even better, where Toy Story 3 grossed $648.1 million. Not bad for a franchise that took a decade-long hiatus. The extra charge for a 3D ticket no doubt boosted the bottom line for Pixar and Disney. 2. Alice in Wonderland In the months leading up to the release of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, there was rampant speculation about whether audiences would embrace Tim Burton’s retelling of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale. The movie became a hit, and had impressive playability. Domestic

The Other Guys Takes Down Inception

The Other Guys Takes Down Inception The US box office charts this weekend were taken over by a pair of bumbling, enthusiastic cops as Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg and director Adam McKay drove The Other Guys to the top spot and knocked the brain-itching former champ Inception down to second place. Ferrell in particular will be happy with the result, as it’s his most successful film for a while, notching up $35.6 million in its first three days. Chris Nolan won’t be too broken-hearted, though – Inception still managed to do decent business, raking in $18.6 million and placing well ahead of the week’s other wide new entry, Step Up 3D . The third dimension didn’t seem to boost to dance pic, which opened with $15.5 million. The remainder of the top five was made up of Salt , with $11.1 million, and Dinner for Schmucks , which dropped from second place with $10.5 million. Thanks to Schmucks, the middle of the charts is a Steve Carell-fest, with Despicable Me still showing strong legs,

Inception Is On Top Again For Third Week

Inception Is On Top Again For Third Week It looked like Dinner for Schmucks might actually be enough to topple the current box office champion, Inception. But by the end of play Sunday, Christopher Nolan’s Cobb and the team pulled off another victory to give the dream thieves a third week atop the charts in the States, Inception nabbing $27.5 million and the Schmucks running away with $23.3 million. Salt slipped down to third place, taking $19.2 million, while Despicable Me stole $15.5 million for fourth. But even the kiddie/3D cash boost factor couldn’t save Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore , with the animal spies sequel bringing in just $12.5 million, which hopefully means this might be the end for the franchise. That said, given the nine-year wait between the first two, maybe we should be wary that, like a horror movie villain, another one could spring up in a decade. Zac Efron won’t be too thrilled either: his latest stab at grown-up filmmaking respecta

Despicable Me Best Buy Cell Phone App

Universal And Best Buy Say You Can Be That Guy During The Movies Don't we all hate those Douche Bags that use their phones during the movies. Sometimes I just want to get up and give them the smack down but I hold it back and complain to whom never I am with. But during Despicable Me you can indeed be one of those Douche Bags and have you phone on during the film.  Here’s the deal, Best Buy’s movie mode app will text translate the minions’ dialogue, to your phone, during the film’s end credit. Best Buy promises its app “automatically dims the mobile screen, silences the ringer and discourages texting”… Please Leave A Comment-
