BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

The A-Team Official Trailer For The Film

The A-Team Official Trailer For The Film The first official trailer for the upcoming movie The A-Team has been released, and we have it. As a kid growing up in the 80's this was one of my favorite television show on air. Dam I am getting old they are making a movie of one of the shows I grew up on. Whats next? A Who's the boss movie. From the preview you can get a feeling of the old TV show when you just hear the music in the back ground and how the characters are portated in the preview. Yes I know Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is no Mr. T but who is the man is one of a kind. A group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed. Daybreakers Movie Review By: Sandwichjohn

Daybreakers Movie Review By:Sandwichjohn Move over Edward Cullen there is a new Edward in town and his name is Edward Dalton. Played by Ethan Hawke, Edward is the main character of the latest vampire movie, Daybreakers . It is 2019 and a virus that emerged 10 years ago has turned most of the population into vampires. The vampires have been farming humans for their blood and the supply has run low. The search is on for a blood substitute and Edward is leading that search. Edward is a conflicted vampire. You find out that he never wanted to become a vampire and avoids feeding on human blood. He has an accidental meeting a group of human survivors which leads to an important discovery. One of these humans, played by Willem Dafoe, has an interesting story to tell. I enjoyed the movie. I am not a big fan of gore and it was gory in some parts but it fit with the storyline and wasn’t too extreme. It reminded me of I Am Legend in a way, both movies have a virus which turns humans into

Hughes Brothers Turned Down Pirates of the Caribbean & Lone Ranger

Hughes Brothers Turned Down Pirates of the Caribbean & Lone Ranger What a mistake, in my opinion I guess if the shoe doesn't fit don't wear it. The brothers haven't had a hit since Menace To Society and Dead Presidents but I do have my fingers crossed with their up coming film The Book Of Eli. Nearly a decade passed between films for Albert and Allen Hughes—2001's "From Hell" to next week's "Book of Eli"—but don't think for a second the twin brothers weren't busy. They pursued a bunch of different Hollywood projects, and were pursued for many more. Two such films, as MTV News has exclusively learned, were mammoth Disney productions. The Hughes brothers were approached to direct both "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and "The Lone Ranger." Once Gore Verbinksi dropped out of the "Pirates" franchise in April after directing the first three films and before Rob Marshall signed on, the Hughes broth

Marvel Sues To Keep Rights To Super Heroes

Marvel Sues To Keep Rights To Super Heroes Marvel is suing to keep the rights to superheroes including Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four and X-Men. The federal lawsuit filed Friday in Manhattan asks a judge to invalidate notices sent by the heirs of artist Jack Kirby to try to terminate Marvel's copyrights. The heirs sent notified several companies last year that the rights to the characters would revert from Marvel to Kirby's estate. The lawsuit says Kirby's work on the comics were "for hire" and render the heirs' claims invalid. Comic book characters such as Spider-Man and the X-Men have become some of Hollywood's most bankable properties in recent years. Marc Toberoff, an attorney for the Kirby heirs, said he hadn't seen the lawsuit and had no immediate comment. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

Tobey Maguire Upbeat About Spider-Man 4

Tobey Maguire Upbeat About Spider-Man 4 Tobey Maguire doesn't think "Spider-Man 4" has become a tangled mess. The 34-year-old star of the web-slinging superhero franchise said preproduction snags aren't dampening his mood about the fourth installment. The next "Spider-Man" film had been scheduled to swing into theaters May 6, 2011, but that seems unlikely now that "Thor," another big-screen Marvel superhero adaptation, has hammered out the same release date. "Like anything, it's a process," Maguire said Thursday. "We're just in the midst of the process. We have a lot of great stuff in terms of story and script. We're just trying to dial it in and get it ready as quickly as possible. Of course, these movies are a very big undertaking and take a lot more time than a drama or something more straightforward." Marvel Studios spokesman Paul Pflug declined comment on reports that production had stalled amid script revisions

Bill Paxton Wants A Twister Sequel

Bill Paxton Wants A Twister Sequel In an interview with Bullz-Eye in conjunction with the season premiere of HBO’s “Big Love” (Sunday, Dec. 10th), Bill Paxton revealed that one of the items on his to-do list is a sequel to his 1996 blockbuster, “Twister.” “I’ve had a meeting at the studio with Kathleen Kennedy about it,” Paxton said, whose inspiration for a sequel came as a result of a trip that he took to the Ozark Mountains last spring. “I flew into St. Louis with my buddy Scott Thomson, who played Preacher in ‘Twister,’ and we rented a car and drove down to southeastern Missouri, into the Ozarks,” said Paxton. “We spent the night, and the next morning we got up and we started tracking the trail of the most famous tornado that ever hit the country, which was the Tri-State Tornado of 1925. It still holds all of the records. It was called the Tri-State because it was a mile wide when it came down from the sky on the afternoon of March 16, 1925, and it was a rural area, but, boy, before

Ghost Rider 2: Spirt Of Vengeance Update

GHOST RIDER 2: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE Update. As you can tell by looking over his resume, De Luca has produced over 50 films and he’s got tons of projects in development. While I’ll be posting updates on Metal Gear Solid, Butter, Fright Night, Dracula Year Zero and tons of other things in the coming days, tonight is all about Ghost Rider 2. For those who don’t know, the sequel to Ghost Rider is moving ahead full steam with a script by David Goyer. According to De Luca, “We have an outline that David wrote that kind of adapts his 2001 script into today’s times with incorporating kind of an original idea of Nic’s.” We talked about whether or not Mark Steven Johnson will be back directing and if Eva Mendes would return as Roxanne Simpson. Oh, and he told me the tentative title is Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. So much more after the jump: Here’s the thing, if you’re a fan of Ghost Rider, the interview you’re about to read should make you extremely excited for a sequel. Everything De L

"The Book of Eli" Hidden Easter Eggs In The Film

"The Book of Eli" Hidden Easter Eggs In The Film Denzel Washington's upcoming post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie The Book of Eli knows it's only the latest in a long, venerable line of similarly themed movies, and it actually pays homage to them with easter eggs. Brother directors Allen and Albert Hughes slipped references to post-apocalyptic films and other classics into Eli ( spoilers ahead! ). An example: When Eli (Denzel Washington) spends the night in Carnegie's (Gary Oldman) town, check the wall for a movie poster: It's from A Boy and His Dog , the 1975 apocalyptic movie that starred Don Johnson. Albert Hughes admitted the homage was not in the original screenplay. "That was us," Albert said in an exclusive interview last month in Beverly Hills, Calif. "We put it in." There's another wink to the famous movie in Eli, Albert added: "Also, one of the snipers on the rooftop in the shootout had the exact gun from Boy and His Dog. That&

District 9 Prequel To Be The Sequel. Confused Yet?

District 9 Prequel To Be The Sequel. Confused Yet? This week, he elaborated a bit on his plans for a follow-up—which might be a prequel instead, but definitely not a TV show—to the Los Angeles Times' Hero Complex blog: "A television show I wouldn't really want to do. That would be...well, I just don't want to do that. But a sequel might be interesting. I know what I'm doing next so it wouldn't be right away. But the concept of aliens in Johannesburg is such an appealing idea to me and the issues of race and how they meet. All of the things that I had going on with it. I wouldn't mind messing around with it again. I'm open to it if the story works and there's a reason to do it. And [Sharlto Copley's character] Wikus is so funny to me, I'm very interested in a sort of passive racist like that. If you go forward [with his story beyond "District 9"] it's more of a traditional film but if you go backward I'd be intrigued in

Sylvester Stallone Broke His Neck While Filming The Expendables

Sylvester Stallone Broke His Neck While Filming The Expendables The veteran action hero had emergency surgery and a metal plate inserted in his neck following the accident on the set of The Expendables. The 63-year-old actor was filming a fight with wrestling co-star Stone Cold Steve Austin, 45, in the upcoming movie, but it was so realistic that Stallone ended up with a hairline fracture in his neck. Man, it was seven guys, kicking each other's ass, one guy tougher than the next. No joke, our stunt guys were begging for mercy. 'Actually, my fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. I'm not joking. 'I haven't told anyone this, but I had to have a very serious operation afterwards. I now have a metal plate in my neck.' Dennis Quaid is also in negotiations in join the cast. Written by Lem Dobbs, the story sees a female spy (Carano) working for a Blackwater-style security contractor who is betrayed by one of her teammates. The movie is scheduled to go before cameras in February in several locat

Disney To Release Blu-ray's In 3D

Disney To Release Blu-ray's In 3D Disney, which says it has produced more 3D content than any other major, will begin rolling out 3D Blu-ray titles this year beginning with "Disney's A Christmas Carol" and followed by "Alice in Wonderland" and "Toy Story 3." Television sets with 3D capabilities are all the rage at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week, so it's no surprise that studios have waited until now to officially commit to the technology by announcing specific titles. Hence, Sony also said Thursday that its first 3D Blu-ray title will be "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs," which will come out about the same time Sony Electronics debuts its Bravia 3D-enabled LCD television sets. And Tuesday, DreamWorks Animation said it would team with Technicolor to offer up a 3D Blu-ray version of "Monsters vs. Aliens" as a promotional item to purchasers of Samsung's 3D-capable TV sets and Blu-ray players. Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien In A Late Night Mess

Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien In A Late Night Mess Similar to the time in 1993 when David Letterman walked away from the Peacock after Jay Leno scored "The Tonight Show," Conan O'Brien may be close to doing the exact same thing. Insiders were confirming late Thursday that Leno had been offered -- and had accepted -- a return to the 11:35 p.m. time slot, where the host dominated the late night wars for nearly 15 years. If that's the case -- and it was looking likely -- then the attention now turns to Conan O'Brien, who has a difficult decision in front of him. O'Brien's handlers are likely mulling all of their options before them -- and pitching their client to both Fox, which currently doesn't have a late night franchise on the weeknights, and ABC, which would have to move "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" out of the way. O'Brien's decision will dictate how Leno's show is presented on NBC. If O'Brien ultimately de

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World First Images Of The Film

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World First Images Of The Film We’ve been banging on about Scott Pilgrim Vs The World for ages, and now that the first official stills from Edgar Wright’s slacker action – or, if you will, ‘slacktion’ – comedy has surfaced online, we’re going to sit back, fold our arms, smile smugly and say, ‘Told you so.’ For anyone who thinks that Wright’s adaptation of the excellent Bryan Lee O’Malley graphic novels is going to be an exercise in navel-gazing might be surprised to see this stunning action shot of Michael Cera, as the eponymous hero, taking on two evil goons with a flaming sword. A flaming sword. Not a lightsaber, mind. An actual flaming sword, because Scott Pilgrim Vs The World will feature tons of insane action scenes as Scott faces off against the seven evil exes of his new lover, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), while simultaneously grappling with big issues: life, love, and the burgeoning career of his band, Sex Bob-Omb. George Lucas Interview On The Daily Show

George Lucas Interview On The Daily Show Thanks to Cubicle Mike for the heads up on the interview. George Lucas appeared on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart to promote his new book “George Lucas’ Blockbusting.” However, as would be expected, the focus on the conversation wasn’t on his new book, but immediately centered on the Star Wars franchise. Every single Star Wars fan should check this video out. I’m a huge, HUGE fan of Stewart as both a comedian and as a journalist. He pretty much always speaks his mind and asks the questions that need to be asked. In this case he just goes for it and asks the questions that fans often wonder about when it comes to Lucas, such as-and I’m paraphrasing a bit-how does it feel to piss off a whole generation of fans and do you still believe you’re as creative as you used to be? The latter one I found especially brilliant and ballsy. Granted, he said it in a nicer way, but the implication of “Hey, what the heck happened in the new movies as opposed to t

ABC Buys Cedric the Entertainer Comedy Pitch

ABC Buys Cedric the Entertainer Comedy Pitch With the broadcast networks already in a pilot-pickup mode, two multicamera comedy pitches fronted by familiar faces scored last-minute sales at ABC. The projects, one starring Carlos Mencia and the other toplined by Cedric the Entertainer, hail from Sony TV and studio-based Tantamount. The Mencia sitcom, from veteran comedy writers Mitchel Katlin and Nat Bernstein, is a family comedy based on Mencia's life and stand-up act. Co-produced by Brillstein Entertainment, it centers on a man in the middle of his very large multigenerational immigrant family. The Cedric comedy, from Al Higgins (" 'Til Death") and Devon Shepard ("Cedric the Entertainer Presents"), will feature the comedian as a retired baseball player-turned-radio host forced to re-evaluate the type of father he has been when his son and 6-year-old granddaughter re-enter his life. In their initial comedy pilot orders this season, the networks have shown pr

Thor Sneaks Into Spider-Man 4 Release Date

Thor Sneaks Into Spider-Man 4 Release Date With production of "Spider-Man 4" delayed, Paramount and Marvel Entertainment have pushed up the release of "Thor" by two weeks to May 6, 2011. Thor" was set to have opened May 20, 2011. No sooner did Par make its move than did Disney grab the May 20 slot for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." The fourth installment in the "Pirates" franchise did not previously have a release date. Strategic shuffling came one day after Sony confirmed that lensing of "Spider-Man 4" has been delayed because of script issues and that it may not make the May 6 deadline. Sony said it wasn't abandoning the date, a highly-coveted frame since it is the first weekend of summer. Studio said it is still hoping to complete the film in time. However, Paramount decided to act aggressively and not wait for the outcome, in case another studio acted first and put one of their films there. Paramount didn&#

James Franco To Star In 127 Hours Danny Boyle's Next Film

James Franco To Star In 127 Hours Danny Boyle's Next Film We've known for two months that Danny Boyle's next film will be 127 Hours, based on the true story of a mountain climber who got stuck under a boulder and had to do terrible things to survive. And now we know which lucky (?) actor will play the guy: James Franco. That's the word from industry publication Production Weekly, which tweeted earlier today that Franco has the part, and that filming will begin in early March in Utah. The mountaineer, Aron Ralston, was climbing in southeastern Utah in 2003 when a boulder came loose and crushed his arm against the wall of the canyon, pinning him there for several days. Probably something like 125 or 130 hours total, I'm guessing. (You can read all the gruesome, bone-sawing details on Ralston's Wikipedia page .) Anyway, while there are no specifics yet, one assumes Boyle will be shooting in the same general area where the incident happened, which isn't too far

"Deadpool," Film Gets "Zombieland" Writers On Board

"Deadpool," Film Gets "Zombieland" Writers On Board 20th Century Fox is making progress with its "X-Men" spinoff, "Deadpool," and has tapped "Zombieland" scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to pen the screenplay. Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as the wisecracking mercenary he portrayed in last year's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." There is no timetable on the Marvel property, though Reynolds has a window after wrapping the "Green Lantern" this summer. Reynolds has been bulking up to play the DC Comics' hero "Green Lantern," which starts lensing next month. This means he would already be in superhero shape if the script for "Deadpool" is ready by summer. Reese and Wernick, who wrote "Zombieland," will stay true to the mythology of "Deadpool" given that Reynolds is a huge fan and protector of the property. The tone of "Deadpool," which features an antihero a

Legion: Prophets Comic Book. Read Before You See The Film The comic prequel to next month's angel apocalypse Legion is already completed, but according to one of the series' writers, fans of the movie should pick it up to see a hint of what happens after, as well as before. Tom Waltz told Comic Book Resources that, although it seems that Legion: Prophets may feature background characters and events to the Paul Bettany-starring movie out January 22nd, there's more going on that may seem at first apparent: Our comic provides an exclusive expansion on some of the ideas and themes presented in the film and, perhaps, a hint at things to come should there be a movie sequel... It's being made by David Ellison's new company Skydance Productions, and Paramount has a first look at his development. Spider-Man 4 Delayed Until 2011

Spider-Man 4 Delayed Until 2011 At that point, it wasn't well known that the Spider-Man franchise director who also is helming the 4th installment had huge problems with the script that has run through screenwriters Jamie Vanderbilt, David Lindsay-Abaire, and Gary Ross. I'm even told Sam Raimi had been very vocal inside Sony that he "hated" it. Now Raimi and Sony are anxiously waiting for still another version from screenwriter Alvin Sargent, who wrote Spidey 2 & 3 and is married to Spidey franchise producer Laura Ziskind. "It is unlikely that May 11, 2011, date will be made," a Sony insider just told me today. "It depends on how quickly the script can get in." However, agents have told clients in the movie to already expect the film to be pushed back. My sources say Sony still intends to release that summer, even if the new date is July 2011. But Spider-Man has always owned that coveted early May date. Even as far back as September 2008 when I

Sean Penn On Board For Three Stooges Movie

Sean Penn On Board For Three Stooges Movie Hollywood heavy Sean Penn, who dropped out of the Farrelly Brothers’ “Three Stooges” movie during the bust-up of his marriage, is back on board to play middle Stooge Larry, Bobby Farrelly told the Track . Penn took a Tinseltown time-out back in June when he announced he was forgoing future film projects to focus on his family as his marriage to Robin Wright Penn went down the tubes. Penn’s move sank the Farrelly Brothers’ hopes to get the long-awaited Stooges flick off the ground in 2009. “We got him back,” Bobby Farrelly told the Track. “He always said he wanted to do it after, you know, taking care of his family.” Allegedly, the Rhode Island-bred bros wanted to replace Penn with Paul Giamatti, but that didn’t pan out. Now that they have their Larry back and Benicio Del Toro is still interested in playing Moe, Curly still needs to be cast. There was word, way back when, that Jim Carrey was interested. But Bobby claims otherwise. Please Leav

Denzel Washington and Will Smith Heading Uptown Saturday Night

Denzel Washington and Will Smith Heading Uptown Saturday Night Which brings me to the project in question, a remake of the 1974 film, "Uptown Saturday Night ", which originally starred Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier (it was also directed by Poitier). The fact that it might be remade might not come as too big a surprise — back in 2002, Will Smith’s production company, Overbrook Entertainment, purchased the remake rights to Uptown Saturday Night with the hope of putting together an all-star African-American version of Ocean’s 11. At the time, Smith had said he’s spoken to Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence about the possibility of starring. For the unfamiliar, Uptown Saturday Night was a movie about two estranged friends, Steve Jackson (Smith) and Wardell Johnson (Washington), who meet up at a nightclub and get robbed of their wallets. The next morning they discover that one of their wallets contained a winning lottery ticket, and together they must recover their stolen property.
