Chris Evans Talks Captain America Script

Chris Evans Talks Captain America Script When it comes to " Captain America ," it's not exactly the easiest sell — after all, it's not every day that one sees a superhero running on the battlefield of World War II in a star-spangled suit. But for Chris Evans — the actor portraying Steve Rogers in the Marvel Studios film — shying away from a comic book film's more fantastical moments is not just a difficult task, but a potentially unnecessary one. "The nature of comic book movies in general — I mean, with Wolverine, you've got swords coming out of a guy's knuckles — it's all a bit fantastical," Evans told MTV News when asked about the tone of "Captain America" and comic book movies in general. "It's about finding a good script, a good director and finding a way to ground it in reality," he added. "Even if it is a bit dream-like, as long as you stay consistent, if you can get the audience to commit in the begin

Joss Whedon Talks Jeremy Renner & Mark Ruffalo Roles In The Avengers

Joss Whedon Talks Jeremy Renner & Mark Ruffalo Roles In The Avengers Sure the big Marvel announcement came yesterday at the Marvel Studios panel, but we just can’t stop obsessing about Joss Whedon and the fact that he has assembled such a mind-blowingly amazing cast for “ The Avengers .” To see pictures and footage check them out Here . When we caught up with the man of the week/hour/con, we asked Whedon why his two newest additions: Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo are perfect for Hawkeye and Hulk, respectively. “The thing about Hawkeye, he’s got his bows and arrows, you need somebody who’s very very down to earth, who’s very grounded, and who’s going to be the kind of guy who, you see him, and you understand why he likes to be far away from things and then shoot at them,” Whedon said, adding that without the right actor in the role things could get “very silly” if handled incorrectly. “[With] Jeremy, he just has a lovely quality.” With regard to Ruffalo, Whedon says th

Twilight's Vampire Lands A Roll In X-Men: First Class

Twilight's Vampire Lands A Roll In X-Men: First Class Edi Gathegi, who played a chillingly evil vampire in Twilight and Twilight Saga: New Moon, is joining X-Men: First Class in the role of Darwin . That character, the first bi-racial mutant (in the comic series), has the power of " reactive evolution ," which allows him to adapt to any situation or environment. Plunged underwater, he'll grow gills, he'll gain night vision in pitch black and his skin grows fire retardant when burned. Gathegi, who played Laurent in the Twilight films, just wrapped production on the Paul Johansson-directed adaptation of the Ayn Rand novel Atlas Shrugged. X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn has set James McAvoy to play Xavier, Michael Fassbender to play Magneto, Alice Eve as Emma Frost, Nicholas Hoult to play Beast, Jennifer Lawrence to play Mystique, Caleb Landry Jones to play Banshee and Lucas Till to play Havoc. Daniel Craig The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Daniel Craig To Star In The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Daniel Craig has closed his deal to play journalist Mikael Blomkvist in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo , a deal which factors in options for two sequels based on The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets' Nest. The novels comprise the bestselling trilogy by late Stieg Larsson. Deadline told you first about the Craig talks, which back in June were hardly a certainty, because there were so many hurdles to jump. I'm told that with a whole lot of juggling between three studios, Craig will be able to make the movies. Essentially, he will begin work on the first film in Sweden, as soon as he removes his cowboy hat from shooting Cowboys and Aliens in the early fall. Scheduling was coordinated between Dragon Tattoo-maker Sony Pictures Entertainment, DreamWorks partners Stacey Snider and Steven Spielberg--who were flexible on the Cowboys and Aliens schedule--and James Bond rights holders Barbara Brocc

Let Me In Movie Trailer

Let Me In Movie Trailer At the Comic-Con panel for Let Me In we got a look at the trailer and I gotta say looks pretty interesting to me. The film is a remake of a Swedish film called "Let the Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist" which I have not seen yet and I will follow the suggestion of the director  "If you haven't seen LTROI don't watch it until you see my film". Watch the trailer after the Jump.. Comic-Con Synopsis: Let Me In tells a terrifying tale about an alienated 12-year old boy named Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who is viciously bullied by his classmates and neglected by his divorcing parents. Achingly lonely, Owen spends his days plotting revenge on his middle school tormentors and his evenings spying on the other inhabitants of his apartment complex. His only friend is his new neighbor Abby (Chloe Moretz), an eerily self-possessed young girl who lives next door with her silent father (Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins). A frail, troubled c

Ryan Reynolds Kicks Off Green Lantern Panel

Ryan Reynolds Kicks Off Green Lantern Panel Warner Bros kicked off the movie side of Comic Con in a big way with a first look at its latest DC Comics superhero tentpole, “Green Lantern.” Glimpse is a more apt description as the movie is still in production in Louisiana and the footage was teasingly half-second images of Ryan Reynolds with the alien power ring, a yellow alien named Tomaray,Reynolds willing a giant fist into existence and plowing some thugs, an alien world, among others. The crowd liked what it saw, even as the movie faces microscopic scrutiny from the fan community, who recently vocally debated the merits of Ryan Reynolds in costume on a recent Entertainment Weekly cover. Without directly referencing the issue, director Martin Campbell talked about the costume, stressing several time it is a work in progress. “It will eventually look incredibly cool.” Warners made a point of making “Green Lantern,” and the “Harry Potter” panel which followed it, interactive,

Marvel's Avenger's Cast Assembled Pictures And Video

Marvel's Avenger's Cast Assembled The move was the topper to what was probably the most boisterous Comic Con panel of 2010, and followed closely by the incredibly well-received presentation for “Captain America” and “Thor.” To watch my video Click Here . Samuel Jackson appeared on stage to introduce the initial “Avengers” cast: Clark Gregg, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo,Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and then…Robert Downey Jr. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR
