STARZ ORIGINAL SERIES “ ASH VS EVIL DEAD ” ADDS LEE MAJORS AND TED RAIMI TO PLAY ASH’S FATHER AND CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND. STARZ has announced today that Lee Majors (Do You Believe) will play the role of Brock Williams, Ash’s father, and Ted Raimi (“Xena: Warrior Princess,” Spider-Man) will play the role of Ash’s childhood best friend, Chet Kaminski, in the STARZ Original series “Ash vs Evil Dead.” The series was previously renewed for a second season and will return in 2016. Majors started his television career in “The Big Valley,” going on to “The Men from Shiloh,” to “Owen Marshall Counselor at Law,” to “The Six Million Dollar Man,” to “The Fall Guy,” to “Tour of Duty,” to “Raven” and countless television appearances on many series, specials, award shows and movies. TV Review: Ash vs. Evil Dead "El Jefe"

Off to a groovy start. Review by Brandon Wolfe You might not realize it from the cottage industry of comics and collectibles that have sprung up around him in recent years, but Ashley J. “Ash” Williams, the wiseacre-buffoon hero portrayed by cult legend Bruce Campbell in Sam Raimi’s hallowed Evil Dead trilogy, has been MIA for a whopping 22 years. Raimi has made countless overtures throughout that fallow period about developing a fourth film, but apart from a pointless, one-second cameo at the end of 2013’s Evil Dead remake, Ash has taken a long, seemingly permanent siesta. So when he makes his long-overdue first appearance at the beginning of Ash vs. Evil Dead , the television sequel to the films, gyrating like a goon to Deep Purple’s “Space Truckin’” as he cinches a girdle around his bloated midsection, it’s not only a welcome sight, but a soothing one. New Ash vs. Evil Dead Teaser Unveiled

Groovy. By Brandon Wolfe Starz has unleashed upon the world the latest teaser for its upcoming series Ash vs. Evil Dead , a continuation of the beloved cult-movie franchise Evil Dead , starring Bruce Campbell as wisecracking Deadite slayer Ash. The teaser contains no new footage, but leans heavily on Evil Dead iconography, with a blood-drenched chainsaw being affixed to a man’s hand while a signature Ash catchphrase is uttered. Starz To Deliver Ash vs. Evil Dead Series

Starz is bringing Evil Dead to TV. The premium network has greenlighted an original series, entitled Ash vs. Evil Dead , that will serve as a follow-up to the horror comedy film franchise, it was announced Monday. Original Evil Dead director Sam Raimi , producer Rob Tapert and star Bruce Campbell will return for the 10-episode half-hour series, slated for a 2015 premiere. The series marks Raimi and Tapert's return to Starz following their Spartacus run. Raimi revealed plans to continue the Evil Dead story on the small screen back at Comic-Con. Campbell reprises his role as the title character Ash, a stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last three decades avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons — personal and literal. The normal investigations are going on, but today is different, so much so the constable needs a drink. He has to meet with Frank, and there are still no findings of Claire. He had low expectations on the department, and they've lived up to those, finding nothing, but there is nothing to find. Claire remains missing, and Frank distraught over her missing. With no body, no blood, no signs of a struggle, the police department thinks its most likely that she left of her own free will, and that the highlander that he spotted the night before is probably her lover that she ran off with. When Claire and Frank got married it was a small affair. They got married before she even met his parents, at the courthouse before lunch. He didn't care what his family thought, only of her and the family they would make together. Claire and Jamie married in front of the entire Clan. Her life before, slowly becoming a distant memory, or at least attempting to. The wedding party continues to go strong, and Claire waits. TV Recap: Outlander "The Garrison Commander" By: Suepafly Lieutenant Jeremy Foster asks Claire if she is there by her own choice, and although she hesitates, she does admit that she is the guest of the Clan McKenzie. He accepts her answer, but asks that she meet with his commander. Claire cannot refuse. She felt a heaviness leave her breast some, and she was back among her people. She felt liberated to be looked on with pity, instead of hostility. She knew what Dougal was feeling as they rode with the Red Coats. Into the Garrison keep they ride. Lieutenant Jeremy Foster orders his men to see to their own horse, and leads Claire and Dougal inside. The Commander is happy to meet Claire Beecham and Dougal. He’s happy to see a lovely English Rose in Scotland, and brings a lovely array of dining options, and even makes Dougal McKenzie welcome. TV Recap: Outlander "Rent" By: Supafly Claire recites a poem to the lake and one of the Scotsman recognizes John Dunn, surprising her. The others shout at each other in Gaelic and wrestle about. Willy is enjoying a rough rite of passage, getting tossed about. The Scotsman is Mr. Gowan, a lawyer she’s seen before. She looks at his beautiful horse as he tells her about some of the items that he’s collected in the past for taxes. He has a bad cough, which concerns Claire. His lungs bother him yearly and Claire thinks that she can help him with the smoking of a pipe, as she diagnoses him with asthma. The pipe helps and Dougal calls them back to the road. It’s a long journey, giving Claire time to get to know Mr. Gowan better. He’s always wanted a life of adventure, and found himself traveling up north, joining the Colum’s father. TV Recap: Outlander "Castle Leoch" By: Suepafly The beginning credits are absolutely breathtaking, from the imagery to the music. Starz, you truly amaze me, and I cannot wait for more of this series. The men arrive at Castle Leoch. They’re dirty and sore from their travels, but they’re safe. Claire remembers the last time that she was there that she and Frank arrived by car. After spending two days riding by horseback, she fears that none will help her get back to her time. There’s much rejoicing at the men’s arrival, and a little scolding over the care of the horses. Mrs. Fitzgibbon sends the men off to breakfast when she notices Claire. She looks on her with distaste, but Jaime assures her that Claire is a friend. She takes Claire in for some breakfast, and a new wardrobe. Claire worries over Jamie and his injuries. She insists on tending to his wounds first, and Mrs. Fitz will get her what she needs.
