Star Wars Rebels Wondercon Clip

At Wondercon this weekend, Disney took the opportunity to reveal more about upcoming Star Wars Rebels , the show that will take over from Clone Wars . Included in the presentation was the first, brief clip from the show. Watch the clip after the Jump... Introduced by voice actress Vanessa Marshall , who plays Hera Syndulla , the clip finds the heroes’ ship, the Ghost, under attack from Imperial TIE Fighters and Hera fighting back while grousing about the team’s leader, Kanan (voiced, though you don’t really hear him in the footage) by Freddie Prinze Jr. Also featured in the clip is grumpy astromech droid C1-10P, or Chopper, as he’s commonly known. Disney XD's Tron: Uprising Preview

Tron: Uprising is an upcoming animated science fiction TV series, part of the Tron franchise, which will air on Disney's television channel Disney XD . The show is set to air in summer 2012. It will be directed by Charlie Bean, Joseph Kosinski and Sean Bailey, who will also act as executive producer. Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, Sean Bailey will produce the series. The series is set between Tron and Tron: Legacy. Tron: Uprising has been announced to be a 10 part series. The show is also set to be previewed on the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Tron: Legacy. Disney To Air Tron And The Avengers Animated Series Disney Channel is developing a "Tron" animated series to follow the upcoming theatrical release of "Tron: Legacy." The news was part of Disney's upfront presentation Tuesday evening to media buyers and clients, which included a preview of the "Tron" series. Geared towards kids age 6-14, the plan is to precede "Tron" with another project, a 10-part "Tron" micro-series premiering in fall 2011 on Disney XD. Gary Marsh, entertainment president and chief creative officer of Disney Channels Worldwide, also offered a glimpse of "Legacy," which is at such an early juncture in the development process that only stills were available.
