BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

#BlockersMovie Movie Review 'More than a raunchy comedy'

When three parents stumble upon their daughters’ pact to lose their virginity at prom, they launch a covert one-night operation to stop the teens from sealing the deal. Leslie Mann (The Other Woman, This Is 40), Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Suicide Squad) and John Cena (Trainwreck, Sisters) star in Blockers, the directorial debut of Kay Cannon (writer of the Pitch Perfect series). Neighbors 2 is Good to Go

The sequel gets a greenlight at Universal. For those of you who thought 2014 was a terrific year for comedies, get in line. From 22 Jump Street , to Ride Along and the underappreciated Sex Tape , last year was one of the most memorable. Of the most successful and well received was Universal's Neighbors , which starred Seth Rogan and Rose Byrne as post-party people having to deal with a fraternity lead by Zac Efron and Dave Franco. The comedy made over $150m domestically and nearly $270m worldwide. And while it was sure to get a sequel, no one knew quite when. Until today. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal has made it official with a May 13. 2016 release date and a promise that both Efforn and Byrne will return with Nicholas Stoller directing once again. The studio was apparently holding that date for another comedy but replaced it with Neighbors 2 . The move makes great financial sense, as the original only cost $18m to make, representing a huge win for

Neighbors Sequel On The Way?

Neighbors producers Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen mentioned at the Produced By conference that they’re still taking a lot of meetings about a sequel to their hit summer comedy, which is on the verge of hitting $220 million worldwide, but it’s still undetermined whether they will move forward. In the meantime, they are trying to get the project Jazz Cops off the ground, a starring vehicle for Rogen and Kevin Hart , about two cops during the 1950s trying to infiltrate the jazz scene. A bulk of their conversation, along with fellow producing partner James Weaver who first started with Rogen as an assistant on Funny People, was devoted to the lessons they’ve learned while writing, directing and producing their comedies. After working on The Green Hornet, the trio learned — big budget isn’t everything. Too much red tape, too many parties to contend with. After enjoying the buffer from the studios on their Judd Apatow productions, i.e. Knocked Up, Superbad and Pineapple Express, Weaver

Weekend Box Office Wrap-Up

Captain America reaches new highs, while Amazing Spider-man 2 gets beat in its second week. Story by: Matt Cummings It seems as though even the best marketing in the world can still leave audiences a little wanting to see a Summer blockbuster, even when it appears near the top of our May Preview . That's unfortunately been the case with The Amazing Spider-man 2 , as domestic audiences have apparently deserted the film in droves. In only its second week of release, the Peter Parker/Gwen Stacy set up for Sinister Six was beat out by the comedy Neighbors , which took in a terrific $51.7m, eclipsing the webslinger's $37.2m. Perhaps its somewhat cool response by critics ( ours included ) and audiences have contributed to the numbers? That's certainly not what Sony had in mind, but they have to be happy when comparing it to another superhero flick Captain America: The Winter Solider . After 10 days of release, ASM2 has taken in domestically $147.9m as compared

Neighbors Review: Side-Splitting and Outrageously Funny

Neighbors could be instant comedy genius, but we'll let your obscene laughter be the judge. Story by: Matt Cummings There are a few comedies that resonate so well with audiences that they become highly-quotable pop culture treasures, carrying on far longer than the movie which inspired them. The original Anchorman , Ted , and The Watch are a few recent ones that come to mind. We think the next to enter such rarefied air will be Neighbors , a fiercely unapologetic, exceptionally dirty production that almost enjoys rolling in its own crass and filth like a happy pig.  We're almost embarrassed it didn't initially make our May Movie List . Mac (Seth Rogan) and Kelly (Rose Byrne) are newly with child, an adorable little girl with enough personality and looks to fill their newly-purchased first home. The area is quiet and filled with good neighbors, and prospects to fill the vacant house next door are high. That all changes when the Delta Psy Kappa fraternity
