BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Soundtrack Review: #TheFlash Season 2

The Flash: Original Television Soundtrack Season 2 speeds to thrilling musical pulse. Review by Matt Cummings Season 2 of CW's The Flash was almost as good as the first, expanding the DC universe with new and thrilling villains to contest Flash (played by the great Grant Gustin). And just like its lead, Composer Blake Neely speeds the series' score to new and darker heights, confirming what we already knew: this guy can make music. As he moves on from the defeat of the evil Reverse Flash, Barry Allen (Gustin) is attempting to piece back together his shattered family which includes the release of his father (John Wesley Shipp) from prison. But trouble is on the horizon, as the dangerous Zoom unleashes an army of baddies from an alternate universe where he rules supreme. Faced with the reality that he cannot defeat Zoom alone, Barry cobbles together allies from an alternate universe called Earth 2, which include the kinder, gentler Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) a

TV Review: #Containment – S01E01 - Pilot Episode

This has to be one of the most intriguing pilot episodes I’ve seen thus far for a viral/zombie/outbreak show. Review By Erika Ashley A virus breaks out in the heart of Atlanta weaving a group of strangers into a deadly mix. During this pilot episode of the much anticipated new television drama Containment breaks into the scene with a bang. Jump start to a preview of Day 13 of the viral outbreak. The National Guard busts out of a trucking container into a frenzy of citizens fighting for survival. Bodies are burning in the street, a mother screams for help while carrying a bloodied lifeless child in her arms. A true feast for the eyes of hungry horror and gore fanatics. Flash back to the beginning – Day 1 of the outbreak. A group of children visit the Atlanta Midtown Hospital on a field trip accompanied by their doe-eyed teacher, Katie Frank. While the children enter the facility the scene jumps to a doctor, Rita Sanders, showing signs of infection and is quarantined. She reca

Soundtrack Review: #TheFlash Season 1

The Flash Season 1 shows just how far television soundtracks have come. Review by Matt Cummings As a long-time lover of television soundtracks - no, not the awful rock collections that appear in shows like Vampire Diaries , etc - I had lamented their near total ignorance for the better part of the last two decades. True, the Bear McReary score for Battlestar Galactica was an epic reminder that television didn't have to go the cheap route. Luckily, Composer Blake Neely's submission for The Flash Season 1 is leading the triumphant charge to return television scores to their rightful place. Released by WaterTower Music, the score is a great mix of electronic and symphonic. There's two CD's here - a total of 29 tracks - so a blow-by-blow rundown would take all day. Instead, let's mention several highlights, beginning with tracks 1-5. A show always has to have a memorable theme, which is what The Fastest Man Alive/Always Late exactly does. But jus

First Glimpse From #Arrow Season 4

The CW has delivered the first images from Arrow season 4 in all it's glory. We get our real first look at Diggle in his new costume, a glimpse of Star City and a greener Arrow. See all the images after the Jump... Please Leave A Comment-

First Image Of Diggle From ARROW Season 4

Oliver isn’t the only one sporting a new suit when Arrow returns for season 4. I'm not a big fan of this costume. As revealed at Comic-Con, season 4 finds Diggle ( David Ramsey ) actually wearing a super suit, despite never being a fan of them. “We try to be very consistent with our characterization,” EP Marc Guggenheim recently told EW of Diggle’s reaction to the suit. “I don’t think Diggle looks at it as a costume per se,” he continues. “Oliver [Stephen Amell], in the last season, gave him advice in terms of concealing his identity, and so Diggle approaches it from a very practical standpoint. He followed Oliver’s advice and he’s got a means of concealing his identity, but I think Diggle would probably react to anyone calling it a costume.” Arrow is slated to return Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. #Arrow Sees Another Villain Join Season 4

See what role a Sons of Liberty star will play opposite Oliver Queen. Story by Matt Cummings Season 3 of CW's Arrow is the books, but audiences weren't happy with the results, although it did start off strong. Focusing on the death of Black Canary (Caity Lotz), the destruction of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) by Ra's al Ghul (Matthew Nable), the rise of Atom (Brandon Routh) and his on-again/off-again relationship with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), the season still left audiences with mixed feelings. Producer and Co-Creator Greg Berlanti are hoping to change that by adding a series of new villains for the now-defunct Arrow to hunt. Thursday saw the signing of Sons of Liberty star Jimmy Akingbolais to play Baron Reiter, who will appear in flashbacks. While only comic fans will know of his character, Baron Reiter is the Nazi super villain Baron Blitzkreig, leader of the criminal organization Shadowspire. The organization first made their appearance

The Flash: New Hero & New Girlfriend?

Interesting Developments Inferred For Season 2 Story by David Clark To say season 1 of The Flash ended on a cliffhanger is like saying the Hulk is kind of green; understatement of the year right? It should be considered cruel and unusual punishment considering fans like us will have to wait until the fall of 2015 to find out what happens next. As if anticipation for the premiere was not enough, the latest news from this past week gives people even more reasons to be curious about what The Flash has in store. It is being reported that casting calls have gone out for two new roles. The first is for a new hero whose identity is yet to be revealed. The second is a new love interest for the scarlet speedster Barry. For everyone screaming that Barry can not have a new love interest, think about how season 1 ended. Yes, by all indications a combination of Barry and Iris - Biris or Irry - is pretty much a foregone conclusion. It was all but revealed by the Reverse Flas
