BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Trailer For NBC’s New Series, ‘TAKEN’ Based On The Movie Franchise

A young Bryan Mills must fight to overcome personal tragedy and exact revenge on those responsible on Taken, premiering Monday, February 27 at 10/9c on NBC. From Executive Producer Luc Besson ("Taken," "The Fifth Element") comes a thrilling new addition to his iconic blockbuster action-film franchise. This new, modern-day, edge-of-your-seat thriller follows the origin story of younger, hungrier, former Green Beret Bryan Mills ( Clive Standen , "Vikings") as he deals with a personal tragedy that shakes his world. As he fights to overcome the incident and exact revenge, Mills is pulled into a career as a deadly CIA operative, a job that awakens his very particular, and very dangerous, set of skills. Clive Standen Cast As Bryan Mills In Taken

Deadline is reporting that Taken , NBC’s straight-to-series adaptation of the hit movie franchise, has cast its lead, tapping The Vikings co-star Clive Standen to play younger Bryan Mills, the character portrayed in the movies by Liam Neeson . Written and executive produced by Alex Cary (Homeland), who serves as showrunner, the Taken TV series is a modern-day prequel to the film franchise that depicts how Bryan Mills (Standen) developed and sharpened his particular set of skills. EuropaCorp TV USA and Universal Television are producing. British actor Standen has been playing one of the central characters, Rollo, on History’s hit drama The Vikings, which is currently airing its fourth season, with a Season 5 renewal expected soon. Standen is segueing to Taken after completing has obligations on the History drama, filming the two 10-episode parts of Season 4. I hear his character is not being killed off, so there is a possibility for him to appear in Season 5 as a guest star. H

Taken Prequel Headed To TV

Luc Besson is revisiting Taken with NBC. The network on Thursday handed out a straight-to-series order for a drama prequel based on the 2008 action thriller written by Besson, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The drama hails from Universal Television and EuropaCorp, which produced the Liam Neeson feature film that helped transform the actor into an action star. There is no writer or showrunner attached to the reboot, though a search is underway. Also undetermined is the number of episodes that the Taken prequel will feature. The original film starred Neeson as Bryan Mills, a retired CIA operative on a mission to save his daughter. NBC's modern-day prequel would focus on how a young Bryan honed his skills and became the character depicted in the feature. The Taken prequel comes as IP — including features and TV series — have been hot commodities across broadcast and cable networks amid an increasingly cluttered original programming landscape. This development season

Movie Review: Taken 3

Third time is no charm for Bryan Mills' skills. Taken 3 Review by Brandon Wolfe Some franchises have a heck of a time justifying their continuing existence. While some films have premises conducive to repeat adventures, others are strictly one-shot-deals that simply aren’t built to spawn offspring. Die Hard was seemingly one of these films, but it somehow managed to buck the odds for at least a couple of sequels. More recently, someone got it into their head that The Hangover had trilogy potential when it very clearly only made sense as a single film. Now they’ve squeezed two sequels out of Taken , the 2009 sleeper hit where Liam Neeson used his now-infamous particular set of skills to take out the Eurotrash who absconded with his teenage daughter. Taken was a lean, satisfying, hugely effective action-thriller, but it was also a closed loop. When Neeson’s Bryan Mills got his daughter back, that was the logical conclusion of that story, until that story had to go and mak

Taken 2 Trailer. Now They Are After Him

While he was understandably miffed that slave traders kidnapped his daughter back in 2008’s Taken , Liam Neeson is now learning that his violent, stabby / shooty reaction had consequences. Here comes the trailer for Taken 2 , which finds the heroic Bryan Mills in a spot of trouble thanks to Rade Serbedzija’s Murad and his need for revenge. After a pleasant surprise visit from daughter Kim ( Maggie Grace ) and wife Lenore ( Famke Janssen ) in Istanbul, Bryan gets a less enjoyable shock when Lenore is targeted and he’s threatened. Guess what he’s going to do? Go on, we bet you can’t figure out that he’s going to use his particular set of skills to try to save his family (and himself) once more. LOCKOUT Interview Part 2 With Maggie Grace- Olivier Megaton takes over the directing chores this time around and delivers almost exactly what you’d expect based on this footage. We know Neeson can deliver the action goods, so the only real question is, will this live up to the original? W

LOCKOUT Review

LOCKOUT Review By: RAMA Would RAMA go and save the president's daughter? There’s nothing new about the concept, even though they describe it as Escape From New York in space. And to be honest, this is actually a pretty mindless action/thriller but it’s another work by producer Luc Besson who in recent years has helped bring his proteges’ films to the big screen, Taken, From Paris With Love , and now, LOCKOUT , these aren’t the most well-structured, well thought out films out there but they’re sure as hell entertaining. LOCKOUT is a essentially a popcorn flick, if you expect something more, then unfortunately that’s something that the movie can neither promise nor deliver and yes, in this case, it’s the movie’s fault… LOCKOUT Interview Part 1 With Maggie Grace- Guy Pearce’s character, Snow, in this film is pretty much a combo of John McLane and Tony Stark without the money. Wisecrackin’ smartmouth attitude with enough sarcasm to spare for the next century. I’m sure to som
