REAL STEEL Movie Review By: Rama Do you wanna know what Rama thought of Real Steel ?  Did he think the robots knocked it out of the ring or not? One of the best crowd-pleasing, feel-good movies of the year. Watch out for Dakota Goyo, this kid is goin’ places! What a bag of talents for such a young age. Hugh Jackman delivers his most powerful performance yet. Director Shawn Levy got himself a winner in REAL STEEL because this movie’s got energy to spare for the next century with its relatable underdog story complimented with father-son relationship that goes straight for the heart. Not to mention the robots look absolutely fascinating, the fight sequences are pulse pounding and incredible. New Real Steel Poster. Are You Ready To Rumble?

DREAMWORKS PICTURES has unleashed this new poster from their upcoming film Real Steel starring   Hugh Jackman and directed by Shawn Levy. The film is based on the 1956 short story " Steel " by Richard Matheson, though Levy replaced the story's dystopian setting with U.S. state fairs and other "old-fashioned" A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future where the sport of boxing has gone high-tech, “Real Steel” stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Hugh Jackman To Star In "Reel Steel"

Hugh Jackman To Star In "Reel Steel" "Reel Steel" is a Rocky-esque tale of a fighter who has to reinvent himself when human boxing becomes obsolete, replaced by 2000 pound human-like robots. Jackman is negotiating to play the ex-fighter, who becomes a Robot Boxing promoter, but whose chances of success are hampered by his access to sub-standard robot parts. That is until he discovers a discarded robot that always seems to win. The ex-fighter has also discovered he's the father of a 13-year old son, and they bond as the robot brawls its way toward the top. John Gatins is rewriting the current draft with Levy, and the studio is eyeing a May production start. The Picture is being produced by Angry Films’ Don Murphy and Susan Montford.
