Knives Out, Marriage Story, Ford v. Ferrari & More Coming To Scottsdale International Film Festival

The Scottsdale International Film Festival , (SIFF) an annual 10-day event that connects audiences with award-winning cinema from around the globe, has officially announced its 2019 film lineup. Filled with a curated collection of award-winning films featuring star-studded cast members, the 2019 programming is set to feature its finest slate of films to date. SIFF is set to kick off opening night with Noah Baumbach’s film “ Marriage Story ” starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson on Friday, November 1 at 7 p.m. at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. From a screenplay by Shia LaBeouf , based on his own experiences, award-winning filmmaker Alma Har'el brings to life a young actor's stormy childhood and early adult years as he struggles to reconcile with his father through cinema and dreams. Fictionalizing his childhood’s ascent to stardom, and subsequent adult crash-landing into rehab and recovery, Har'el casts Noah Jupe and Lucas Hedges as Otis Lort, navigating different stages in a frenetic career. LaBeouf takes on the daring and therapeutic challenge of playing a version of his own father, an ex-rodeo clown and a felon. Amazon Studios will release Alma Har’el’s critically acclaimed Honey Boy in select theaters on November 8, 2019 and will expand in the following weeks. Shia LaBeouf wrote and stars alongside A Quiet Place’s Noah Jupe and Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Lucas Hedges . Har’el received the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Vision and Craft at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Shia LaBeouf To Star In Honey Boy

Shia LaBeouf and Lucas Hedges will star in Alma Har’el’s next film, Honey Boy . Producers are Automatik’s Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Daniela Taplin Lundberg of Stay Gold Features and Christopher Leggett of Delirio Films. Automatik’s Fred Berger is executive producer. Stay Gold Features will finance. Honey Boy follows child actor Otis Lort ( Hedges ) and his law-breaking, alcohol-abusing father James ( LaBeouf ) as they attempt to mend their contentious relationship over the course of a decade. Honey Boy will film in Los Angeles. LaBeouf received rave reviews for his performance in Borg vs McEnroe at the Toronto Film Festival; the film releases this April. He recently starred in the acclaimed film American Honey. He will be seen next in Peanut Butter Falcon.
