BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Gina Carano Attached To Female Expendables Film

As " Haywire " star Gina Carano continues to establish herself as an action heroine with an upcoming turn in " The Fast and the Furious 6 ," the former MMA fighter has become attached to topline an all-female riff on " The Expendables ," which is being set up by Adi Shankar's banner 1984 Private Defense Contractors. Shankar will produce for the shingle, which plans to fully finance the " Expendables "-inspired project. Company remains in talks with several prominent actresses affiliated with the action genre in addition to Carano, who director Steven Soderbergh hand-picked to star in "Haywire" alongside more experienced thesps such as Michael Fassbender and Channing Tatum. Dutch Southern, who wrote the 2010 Black List script "Hoof Harrington's Greatest Hits," was tapped to write the estrogen-powered action pic back in August, just as "The Expendables 2" was opening atop the box office. Fast Six Set Pictures. Threes A Crowd

When the colossally entertaining Fast Five ram-raided our cinemas and made off with $620m, some pick 'n' mix and half a box of nachos, it was only a matter of time before studio bosses revved up the franchise for a sixth outing. Fast Six is now well under way and looking like delivering all the thrills, spills and weaponised pectorals you could possibly hope for. It's still early days but Vin Diesel's Facebook page - 2000 per cent more macho than ours - features a couple of new snaps from the movie. One features the original trio Dominic Toretto ( Diesel ), Brian O'Conner ( Paul Walker ) and Luke Hobbs ( Dwayne Johnson ) in the kind of face-off than usually ends in cities being abandoned. Fast Six is scheduled for US release on May 24, 2013. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire

Fast 6 To Drive Into Theaters In May 2013

Following the glorious tosh that was Fast 5  , talk was of the next two instalments shooting back-to-back. Sadly, Dwayne Johnson has just told MTV that he doesn't think that's still the plan. But it doesn't matter: Fast 6 will still go before the cameras in May. "We were going to try shooting them together," confirms his Rockness. "It would make sense while we have the same crew and everybody in one place. But I think we're dealing with some weather issues, so from what I know we're going to shoot Fast 6 first, and then worry about Fast 7 a little later." Weather issues? That would be the fault of our unpredictable European climate. "We're going to be in the UK and we're going to be in Germany," Dwayne believes, although he doesn't say if both those locations or part of 6, or whether it's one each for 6 and 7. What this does make clear is that Johnson is in for the long haul as US marshal and the planet's best...

Fast 6 & 7 Being Written Back To Back

The sixth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise will be split into two movies. Vin Diesel, the star and a producer of Universal’s decade-long franchise, said that during the planning process of the new movie, the Fast and Furious creative team, which includes director Justin Lin and screenwriter Chris Morgan, realized that they would need a seventh movie to tell their story. The sixth and seventh are being written simultaneously, he said. “With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space,” Diesel told THR during the photoshoot for its Rule Breakers 2011 portfolio. Fast Five moved the franchise from the genre of car-racing adventure to action-adventure heist, while garnering the best reviews in the franchise’s history and grossing an astonishing $626 million worldwide. Apart from reuniting supportin...

Now, he’s back in the ring and is the main event for Sunday’s Survivor Series at Madison Square Garden, which sold out in 90 minutes. He’ll be the headliner of WrestleMania XXVIII, which has already broken ticket sales records. Johnson is in production on G.I. Justin Lin Talks Terminator With Arnold and James Cameron

We have reported before that Justin Lin will be directing the next installment in the Terminator franchise. He is what they talked about “ ‘ Terminator ’ is something I’ve been having a lot of fun with,” Lin told us in an interview to support forthcoming video release of “ Fast Five .” “Just even this week, I had a great meeting with Arnold and James Cameron , just sitting down unofficially. And James is so gracious because he’s not part of the project, he’s not going to be producing, but it was great of him just as a filmmaker to take time out to just talk.” His next will film will be The sixth film in the Fast and Furious franchise. Rumor:Paul Walker To Play Kyle Reese In Terminator 5

Please remember this is strictly a RUMOR, nothing has been confirmed. whatsplaying is reporting that Paul Walker ’s name keeps coming up - could he possibly be Lin ’s pick for Kyle Reese ? Despite Mr Schwarzenegger’s recent scandlous issues, Megan Ellison - who recently inherited Skynet from the bankless Halcyon - is pushing on with her plan to make a new Terminator movie. As we reported exclusively in January, Justin Lin (Fast Five) has been shopping around a new Terminator movie, one that Arnold Schwarzenegger has agreed to be a part of, with Universal showing the most interest at the time (No studio is currently onboard). From the sounds of things, the big guy does have a fairly substantial role in the new story - which is said to involve that original timeline being torn, again - but this Terminator would mostly be anchored by a new, younger male lead (Paul Walker’s name keeps coming up - could he possibly be Lin’s pick for Kyle Reese?). Oh, and I think that’s where th...

Bobby Glickert & Justin Lin To Produce Sci-Fi Film For Universal

Universal has acquired an untitled sci-fi crime thriller project from Bobby Glickert , a former assistant turned burgeoning filmmaker. Scott Stuber and Fast Five helmer Justin Lin are producing. Glickert wrote the outline for the pitch and will direct. He'll also be a producer. The studio will search for a writer to pen the screenplay. The pick-up brings additional heat to Glickert, who was a P.A. on Transformers and Iron Man, then acted as an assistant to Lin on Fast & Furious. In between, he directed a couple of short films: the action-tinged The Descendent and the horror tale Road to Moloch. Glickert jumped up several rungs last July when he, with Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes partners attached as producers, set up a spec sci-fi project at Paramount. That untitled project is still in development. The new project’s details are being kept secret but speaking to Heat Vision, Lin said: “Taking a step back, as a viewer, the tone and the gritty approach to the sci-fi...

Vin Diesel To Star In The Machine

Hot off of Fast Five , Vin Diesel has come aboard to star and produce The Machine , an action comedy from MGM. While MGM’s reputation around town is that of a remake factory, mining its library, Machine is an original project coming from Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, the writers of Night at the Museum who also worked with Diesel on his action comedy The Pacifier. According to MGM, Diesel will play “a human-like machine created in secrecy by the Pentagon as the world's first true ultimate weapon. Twenty years after the project was buried and decommissioned for reasons unknown, The Machine is discovered by a kid who befriends him. When the government learns it has been reactivated, the Machine must protect the family harboring him. The project has no director but MGM says its eying a fall start. With the massive success of Fast Five -- $458 million worldwide and counting – many of the cast of the Universal movie are finding themselves back in the spotlight. Diesel’...

Fast Five Movie Review By: SandwichJohn

Fast Five Movie Review By: SandwichJohn I was walking into the theater not knowing how I felt about this Franchise, same movie just told in a different way. I was making fun of my friends that were so excited for this movie to come out. Maybe in the same way they were laughing when I lined out overnight to watch the Star Wars films. All I have to say is Fast Five blew me away. Forget that it is apart of the Fast And Furious franchise. This movie could hold it's own. Can't you tell how excited I am. The movie is a guys wet dream, Hot Cars, Hot Woman (Yes, ladies Hot Guys too) and more action than you could ask for. We all know going into this film that there weren't going to be any kind of Oscar caliber performances from the actors. But if action or driving could grant you an Oscar then everyone in this film would be getting one. There are a few thing I need to point out before I go on with the review, there are cars in this movie I have never seen or heard of bef...

" Fast Five " has left the competition in the dust with an $83.6 million debut to grab the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office, according to studio estimates Sunday. Universal Pictures' fifth movie in " The Fast and the Furious " franchise was by far this year's biggest opening. The No. 1 movie the two previous weekends, " Rio " raised its total to $103.6 million. Fast Six To Have Less Cars More Action

Universal  studios has a big fat blockbuster overseas in Fast Five , which releases into North American theaters this Friday as the fifth installment of the very popular street racing franchise. But here's what really gives me reason to think Universal might be back on the right track: what's planned for Fast Six . No studio has ever dared to change the genre of a successful franchise, but it's a bold and provocative move. In summary, It's already known that Universal has started Chris Morgan -- the screenwriter of Fast Five as well as The Fast And The Furious 3: Tokyo Drif t, and Fast & Furious 4 -- on the script for the sixth installment as part of his new production deal at the studio. But Morgan is also a great scripter of the crime-thriller genre, like Wanted . So what Fast Five sets up nicely is a Fast Six whose plot revolves around a major robbery. And Universal's intent is to transform the street-racing franchise into a series of heist films. I...

Arnold Schwarzenegger Returning To Terminator Franchise

He's back. Arnold Schwarzenegger is attached to star in a rights package that CAA is shopping today that will revive The Terminator , one of Hollywood's most iconic science fiction franchises. The agency is dropping the package on studios this afternoon. There is no screenwriter attached at this point, and Robert Cort is producing. This is the first real activity on The Terminator project since February 2010, when the property emerged from a bankruptcy auction and into the possession of Pacificor. The Santa Barbara-based hedge fund posted a bid of $29.5 million, with the promise that additional multimillion-dollar payments for each film would go to Halcyon, the company that made the 2009 McG-directed Terminator Salvation . That film starred Sam Worthington as the cyborg and Christian Bale as John Connor, and the storyline launched the battle between Skynet and the human survivors of the apocalypse, the war foreshadowed in James Cameron's visionary 1984 original film...

Justin Lin Talks Terminator & Arnold Schwarzenegger

Collider got the chance to talk  Fast Five director Justin Lin about the possibility of him directing a new Terminator film and working with Arnold Schwarzenegger .  Briefly, Lin says he has a take on Terminator he would like to see and that he’s spoken with Arnold Schwarzenegger. However, he’s also looking at other projects and hasn't decided what will be his next directing gig. Speaking of big-budget movies and studio franchises, there’s a lot of talk about you getting to do the Terminator franchise. Is this happening? Are you looking forward to it? JUSTIN LIN: I think one of the great things is that when I got started, no one would return my calls, and now I get a lot of phone calls, which is good. I have options. Terminator was one of my favorite films growing up. And I feel I have a take that I would love to see, and I’ve talked with Arnold and we’ve talked and we’ll see. Again, I would love to do it, but it has to be...
