One year before 1984's The Terminator , a little cautionary film called War Games arrived, ushering in a new wave of movies featuring computers going serious awry. The original starred Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy as teenagers who stumble across a computer that's in charge of launching ICBM's during a nuclear war. The film was a commercial success, but a reboot has been a long time coming. Early reports saw Director Seth Gordon was originally chosen to head the reboot, but The Wrap now reports that MGM has hired Dean Israelite. Additionally, they've announced Arash Amel will write the script. With so many directors promising to bring this project back to life over the years, it would seem like a no-brainer.
