First Look At Robert Pattinson In The Batman

Rather than have the suit leak via some awful pap pictures on set, all badly handled lighting and weird details showing up, The Batman's director Matt Reeves has chosen instead to go the arty, camera test route to show off what Robert Pattinson looks like in the gear. It's dark, it's moody and it boasts a short score by the film's composer, Michael Giacchino. The Batman - Camera Test from Matt Reeves on Vimeo . The Batman will be Reeves (and co-writer Mattson Tomlin) take on the iconic DC character, though the plot is mostly a mystery for now (if they keep to the idea of Bats as a detective, it should be a mystery anyway but... yeah, we'll stop). What we do know is the cast includes Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred, John Turturro as crime boss Carmine Falcone and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Jim Gordon. Colin Farrell In Talks To Play Penguin In The Batman

The Batman has found its Penguin. Colin Farrell is in talks to play the DC villain, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Filmmaker Matt Reeves is behind The Batman , which stars Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight, with other actors including Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Batman ally Commissioner Gordon and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. Danny DeVito previously played The Penguin in Tim Burton's 1992 film, Batman Returns, while Burgess Meredith portrayed him in the 1960s Batman TV series and Robin Lord Taylor played a younger version of the character on Fox's Gotham. The Penguin, also known as Oswald Cobblepot, first debuted in the comics in 1941's Detective Comics No. 58 and was created by writer Bill Finger and artist Gil Kane. He is known as a master manipulator and his penguin-like physique and waddle. While he favors using henchmen to do his bidding, when confronted one-on-one he's known for using his umbre

Zoe Kravitz Cast As Catwoman In The Batman

Variety is reporting “Big Little Lies” star Zoe Kravitz has been tapped to play Catwoman , the antiheroine and sometime love interest of the Caped Crusader, in Matt Reeves ’ upcoming “ The Batman .” Kravitz will star opposite Robert Pattinson as Batman. Pre-production on the Warner Bros.-DC Comics pic is expected to start this summer. No official start date has been set, although insiders tell Variety that filming could start in late 2019 or early 2020. “The Batman” is scheduled to hit theaters June 25, 2021. Reeves, the filmmaker behind the last two “Planet of the Apes” sequels, took over “Batman” directing duties from Ben Affleck in January 2017. Affleck departed his role as Batman following “Justice League,” allowing Reeves to pick his own Bruce Wayne. Reeves’ “Planet of the Apes” collaborator Dylan Clark will produce. Kravitz is coming off her second season of HBO’s “Big Little Lies,” which aired its finale in July. She also has the Hulu series “High Fidelity” coming

Ben Affleck Reveals The Title For The Upcoming Batman Solo Film

Ben Affleck has given us a critical detail about his upcoming standalone Batman movie: the title. "The movie I think is going to be called ‘ The Batman ,’" Affleck told the Associated Press during the press junket for "The Accountant" (opening October 13). "At least that’s what we’re going with right now. I might change it… That’s about all I got right now. We’re working on the script, the script is going well, I’m really excited about it.” Not much is known about "The Batman" project, for which Affleck will return as The Dark Knight after playing the character in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (and providing a cameo for "Suicide Squad"). He is also directing the Batman movie and writing the screenplay. The only other piece of info that's been revealed about the movie from Warner Bros., which currently has no release date, is that Joe Manganiello ("Magic Mike," "True Blood") will be playing

Batman Solo Film Coming in 2019?

We've got the rundown that Batman will return with a solo project. With the first Batman/Superman film given a title earlier this month , DC and Warner Bros surprised many people when an outlet leaked what appeared to be a very ambitious schedule of superhero films lasting through 2018. Films like a Flash/Green Lantern team up and a Shazam origin story are planned to join the ranks of pre-planned films like Sandman. News also broke recently of Jason Momoa signing on to play Aquaman , who could appear in Dawn of Justice. For many, the lack of a standalone Batman film wasn't surprising, as CHristopher Nolan's Batman series is arguably the best interpretation of the Caped Crusader. But don't be so sure that DC/WB think so. According to Latino Review, the companies are planning another film with a 2019 release, with the working title of The Batman . On paper, this announcement seems to make sense, as Batman actor Ben Affleck will write, direct, and star in his
