Capcom's Devil May Cry Heading To The Big Screen

Screen Gems has purchased feature film rights to Capcom's hit vidgame series " Devil May Cry ," with the aim of kickstarting a new genre franchise. Kyle Ward has been hired to pen the script, which revolves around the character of Dante , who avenges his mother's murder by killing off demons. Franchise was originally developed as the third installment of the " Resident Evil " games -- another Capcom property. But once the game's design started to deviate significantly from "Resident Evil's" style, Capcom decided to launch the title as an original property. " Devil " has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. Screen Gems' "Resident Evil" franchise became a global B.O. hit for the genre label, with more than $580 million in worldwide grosses collectively. First Look- RESIDENT EVIL: DAMNATION Tonight Get a first look at the next 3D CG-animated installment in the Resident Evil film franchise RESIDENT EVIL: DAMNATION tonight on G4TV's " Attack of the Show " at 7pm ET/PT on G4 . Resident Evil: Damnation is a feature-length CGI film, announced by Capcom on September 14, 2010. The film is the sequel to the 2008 CGI film Resident Evil: Degeneration . E3 2010 Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds Trailer has unleashed this new trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds ! The game pits 30 characters from across the Marvel and Capcom universes against each other in an epic battle. It will feature Capcom's own characters and characters from American comic book company Marvel Comics . It is the fifth installment of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise, the eighth installment in the Vs. series, the first to be exclusive to consoles, and the second in the Vs. series to use three-dimensional graphics on a two-dimensional battle area. Street Fighter Legacy Trailer Whoa! Whoa! This is the Street Fighter movie I would be willing to pay my hard earned cash to go see. Street Fighter Legacy is brought to us by Joey Ansah , the crazy dude who fought Jason Bourne in Morocco in The Bourne Ultimatum. Collider got there hands on the short and let it loose to the world.
