AMC Networks Returning To Comic-Con with The Walking Dead, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire & More

AMC Networks announced today its lineup of panels and events at this year’s Comic-Con International, which runs from July 21 to July 24 in San Diego, CA, including the final series panel for the cultural phenomenon The Walking Dead ahead of its must-see last eight episodes this fall; the Comic-Con debut panel for Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire , along with panels for Tales of the Walking Dead , the new episodic anthology within The Walking Dead Universe debuting August 14, and Shudder’s new docu-series Queer for Fear , premiering this fall.  In addition to its panels, AMC Networks is returning to the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Hotel this month to transform the Skylight Terrace and Gaslamp ballroom into The Walking Dead Fan Celebration, the ultimate fan destination for The Walking Dead.    Additional details on the Fan Celebration and Comic-Con panels are below:22   The Walking Dead Fan Celebration Located at the Hilton Gaslamp Hotel (4th Avenue and L Street, across from the Con

Robert Kirkman's 'Invincible' Heading To The Big Screen

THR is reporting  Rogen and Goldberg will write, direct and produce a movie adaptation, with the ' Walking Dead ' creator also producing. Invincible is Kirkman’s second-longest running title after The Walking Dead and follows Mark Grayson, a normal high school student with just one difference between him and his peers — his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, and he, too, will inherit his own set of superpowers. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are teaming up with Robert Kirkman to bring the Walking Dead creator’s comic book Invincible to the big screen for Universal. Rogen and Goldberg will write, direct and produce the adaptation of the comic, which has been continually published since 2003. Kirkman will also produce, via his shingle Skybound Entertainment and his Skybound cohorts David Alpert, Bryan Furst and Sean Furst. The project falls under Skybound’s first-look deal with Universal. Actor will recur on second season of “ The Walking Dead ” spinoff series. Dougray Scott has joined the cast of “ Fear the Walking Dead ” for Season 2 TheWrap has learned. Details of Scott’s character are being kept under wraps, but he will recur in multiple episodes. The “Walking Dead” spinoff stars Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frank Dillane, Rubén Blades, Mercedes Mason and Cliff Curtis . Robert Kirkman, the writer of the comic book on which “The Walking Dead” is based and an executive producer on the original show, also serves as executive producer on “Fear the Walking Dead,” along with executive producers Greg Nicotero, Gale Ann Hurd and David Alpert. Dave Erickson is the showrunner. The first seven episodes of Season 2 of “Fear” will air in the spring, with the final half of the 15-episode season airing later in 2016. AMC RENEWS “ THE WALKING DEAD ” AND “TALKING DEAD” #1 SHOW ON TELEVISION AMONG ADULTS 18-49 WILL RETURN FOR ITS SEVENTH SEASON IN OCTOBER 2016, FOLLOWED BY EPISODES OF “TALKING DEAD” AMC announced today that it has renewed “The Walking Dead,” the #1 show on television among adults 18-49 for the last three years, for a seventh season. In addition, AMC has renewed “Talking Dead,” the live after-show hosted by Chris Hardwick that ranks in the top 10 across all television among adults 18-49, with new episodes to follow “The Walking Dead.” The October 25th episode of “The Walking Dead” delivered 18.2 million viewers, 12 million adults 18-49 and 11.5 million adults 25-54 in live+3 ratings, which include three days of time-shifted viewing – each growing compared to last season’s corresponding episode #503. Season five of " The Walking Dead " hits Netflix in September. September is a really big month for Netflix. Lots of hours of television to catch including the fifth season of " The Walking Dead ." The first season of that show that's not really about Batman, " Gotham ," arrives in September as well. And for those of us who can't get enough of Portland, check out the fifth season of " Portlandia ." New show asks that you now fear zombies. By Brandon Wolfe Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman has revealed the title of his show’s upcoming spin-off on his Twitter page , and those expecting something more prosaic, like The Walking Dead: Los Angeles , are about to be proven dead wrong. The new show will be called Fear the Walking Dead , begging the question - weren’t we already doing that on the other show? Maybe this show’s zombies are just that much more fearsome. A teaser for Fear the Walking Dead will air during this Sunday’s episode of Talking Dead , immediately following The Walking Dead ’s 90-minute season finale. The loud beats fill the quiet room as she morns his loss. Carol makes a casserole and tries to write a note, but can't quite find the words as she watches Judith on the video monitor. Sam peeks in her windows. Sasha watches from her post. She can't quite concentrate though. A walker shambles close. Spencer turns off the noise. There's a knock at the door.
