BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Chloë Moretz Is Carrie?

Warm up the bucket of pig blood — we’re getting closer to finding us a Carrie ! A gaggle of actresses have been reading for the lead role in Kimberly Peirce’s adaptation of Stephen King's book (which will reportedly hew closer to the source than Brian DePalma's 1976 horror classic), and now we're told the field has narrowed to two main contenders: the 15-year-old Chloë Moretz (Kick-Ass) and the 24-year-old Haley Bennett , who is starring with Ryan Gosling in Terrence Malick's next project, Lawless. These two sit at the top of a list of candidates that has included such young up-and-comers as Dakota Fanning (all growed up and, lately, a Volturi in Twilight), Emily Browning (Sucker Punch), Bella Heathcote (In Time), and Lily Collins (Mirror Mirror), who have all read for Peirce. We also hear that earlier this week, The Descendants' Shailene Woodley passed on an offer from MGM to take the title role. Meanwhile, we're also told that for the role of Carr

First Image Of The Cast From "Dark Shadows"

EW scored the first photo of Johnny Depp ’s vampire from Dark Shadows ! Last week, long-range paparazzi shots of the actor wearing ghostly white makeup, large sunglasses and a pulled down fedora made fans of the original 1966-71 supernatural soap opera bristle nervously, with complaints he looked simply too strange. Nevermind that he’s playing a 200-year-old vampire, which is strange enough. As you can see from this cast shot, Depp’s bloodsucking pater familias Barnabas Collins actually borrows heavily from the aged-little boy look of original Dark Shadows star Jonathan Frid — not that anyone would be happy to see this guy show up as your prom date either. Still, this official First Look may reassure those die-hard fans of the original series, memorably offbeat ABC daytime drama about a vampire whose extended family are bedeviled by ghosts, witches, and other gothic woes. Depp, who fought for years to make this movie, is one of those fans. “I do remember, very vividly, practi

Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall Plot Details

Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall Plot Details Kick-Ass is set to hit DVD and Blu-ray on August 3rd.  Mark Millar stopped by movieweb for a chat. While discussing the film, he told us in detail where Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall is headed. Spoiler Alert: Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall begins with Hit Girl living with her newly adoptive father, who used to be Big Daddy's ex-partner on the police force. She has retired her guns and is no longer killing people. Meanwhile, Red Mist has hired a Russian Assassin to murder Hit Girl, while also assembling a group of super villains on-line who decide to hunt Kick-Ass down in a storyline that is similar to the one seen in The Warriors, which climaxes with a huge rumble in Times Square, where costumed heroes battle costumed villains to the death. Here is our conversation: There has been a lot of talk about Kick-Ass 2 . What is happening with that? And where would you like to see it go? Mark Millar: I am writing the comic book right now

Let Me In Movie Trailer

Let Me In Movie Trailer At the Comic-Con panel for Let Me In we got a look at the trailer and I gotta say looks pretty interesting to me. The film is a remake of a Swedish film called "Let the Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist" which I have not seen yet and I will follow the suggestion of the director  "If you haven't seen LTROI don't watch it until you see my film". Watch the trailer after the Jump.. Comic-Con Synopsis: Let Me In tells a terrifying tale about an alienated 12-year old boy named Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who is viciously bullied by his classmates and neglected by his divorcing parents. Achingly lonely, Owen spends his days plotting revenge on his middle school tormentors and his evenings spying on the other inhabitants of his apartment complex. His only friend is his new neighbor Abby (Chloe Moretz), an eerily self-possessed young girl who lives next door with her silent father (Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins). A frail, troubled c

Kick-Ass 2 "Balls To The Wall" In 2012?

Kick-Ass 2 "Balls To The Wall" In 2012? Looks like me might be getting a sequel to Kick-Ass. After a very disappointing performance at the box office so far. ($40 Million so far and the film cost 30 million to make) Has the movie warranted a sequel? I say HELL yes! Mark talked to Forces of Geek in which he was promoting his new UK Geek Magazine CLiNT. Here is a little description he gives on the magazine: I’ve worked on everything from Spider-Man comics to the Iron Man movie for Marvel in New York, but what really excites me is the gap I see in the UK market at the moment. There are absolutely no comic-books aimed at 16-30 year old guys and I think CLiNT has potential to make an enormous impact, bringing a new type of magazine to a new generation. I want this to be edgy and irreverent, the kind of thing guys will be passing around lunch-halls and common rooms, and there’s nobody I’d rather have creating new characters for CLiNT than Jonathan and Frankie. They’re both

Kick-Ass Movie Review By: Sandwichjohn

Kick-Ass Movie Review By: Sandwichjohn Sorry Late but you know the real world doesn't always leave a lot of time for sitting down to write a review. Kick Ass unfortunately didn't kick ass in the box office but we here at Sandwichjohnfilms definitely thought it kicked bottom, as my 4 year old says. We were very excited for this movie every since we show the first clips which were released, then more so after watching the panel at WonderCon and we were not disappointed. Kick Ass stars Aaron Johnson as Dave Lizewski, an average high school kid that decides to become a super hero. He hits a few road blocks along the way but becomes a You Tube hit as the super hero Kick Ass. Kick Ass also stars Nicholas Cage as Damon Macready, a former cop who was framed by the local crime boss Frank D'Amico and spent time in prison. Upon his release he trains his 11 year daughter Mindy (Chloë Moretz) to help him fight crime in his quest to bring down D'Amico. Together they form the

Kick-Ass Slays The "Dragon"

Kick-Ass Slays The "Dragon" As of Sunday night I was pretty nervous that Kick-Ass lost the number one spot to "How to Train Your Dragon".  It looks like it was a close race but Kick-Ass ended up on top.  Not taking anything away from Dragon, which was a great film. If you haven't seen the movie you need to make a trip out to the theaters and spread the word. I am really hoping that word of mouth about this film will give this movie legs with all the new films coming out. Despite preliminary reports, "Kick-Ass" took home the top spot at the domestic box office. Grossing $19.8 million, Lionsgate's superhero action pic edged DreamWorks Animation's 3D kid pic, "How to Train Your Dragon" ($19.6 million) in a closely contested race. Big Daddy Kicks-Ass In This Trailer And Wonder Con Exclusive

Big Daddy Kicks-Ass In This Trailer And Wonder Con Exclusive Man I can not stop watching this trailer, I thought to myself for a minute.  Who in the heck needs Batman when you have Big Daddy. Big Daddy is the center of this clip, showing what a bad ass he is and how he completely destroys the whole warehouse without a blink of an eye. Big Daddy, a former cop who, in his quest to bring down an evil druglord Frank D'Amico played by Mark Strong, has trained his eleven-year-old daughter to be the ruthless vigilante Hit-Girl. But the con-exclusive poster for Big Daddy, with its slogan of "He's Watching You," is pretty creepy, and calls out for a "Ceiling Cat"-style meme. Yeah, that's right, Nicolas Cage is watching you, um, doing whatever you're doing. And he'll be available to sign the poster on Saturday. Another thing if you are making your way out to Wonder Con this weekend make sure to come and join me at 4:30 for the Kick-Ass panel i

In the new 'Kick-Ass: Creating the Comic, Making the Movie' movie companion let it out a huge tidbit slip when he talked about the direction of the characters of the upcoming Kick-Ass film will take in the comic books and upcoming sequel "One of my favorite ideas in superhero comics is the exposure of the secret identity... I like the idea of doing that to somebody like Kick-Ass, who's going to have real-world ramifications if his secret identity gets exposed. "Kick-Ass" Red Band Trailer Featuring Hit-Girl

"Kick-Ass" Red Band Trailer Featuring Hit-Girl One reason why "Kick-Ass" is getting a ton of buzz is due to the character of Hit-Girl. Played by Chloe Moretz , she is 11 years old, she cusses, she kills people. This red band (red band!) trailer from IGN may show why she is a candidate for breakout actress/character of 2010. Much of the action images were seen at the "Kick-Ass'" Comic Con pane,l but it doesn't matter: There are still some doozies here. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

Kick-Ass Nicolas Cage As Big Daddy Revealed

Kick-Ass Nicolas Cage As Big Daddy Revealed From the One sheet character posters for the film Kick-Ass . This one shows Big Daddy played by one of the hardest working men in show Business Nicolas Cage. Big Daddy is literally that -- big, and a daddy. Specifically, he's Hit-Girl's father, who has made the some-might-say dubious decision to raise his little girl as a lethal killer, working continuously on a mission of revenge against the crime boss who killed his wife and his daughter's mother. Far from a superhero himself, Big Daddy simply sees Kick-Ass as a way of furthering his own murderous plans. Please Leave A Comment- Source- UGO
