With the movie breaking records seemingly every day, it managed a strong $112.4 million for its second weekend in the States alone. This latest success story for Marvel is now past $450 million in the US, and its global take has just passed a billion, with $1.16 billion in the bank. It still has a few countries left to debut, with China looking to deliver a strong response. It may not be likely to de-throne Titanic or Avatar , but it's still a huge smash by any metric.
