Geoff Johns Wants A Green Lantern Sequel

Geoff Johns , chief creative officer at DC Entertainment , a unit of Time Warner's Warner Bros., expressed hope here Friday that there will be another Green Lantern film.

Speaking on a panel at New York Comic Con, he said: "There is the hope that we will eventually see one."
The Warner Bros. film that focused on the superhero earlier this year was seen as a box office disappointment. Johns at some point during Friday's panel said about this summer's Green Lantern film that "obviously, you want it to be as big as Titanic." But he added: "I hope that the character gets another film, and it will be live-action again - I guarantee." TW chairman and CEO Jeff Bewkes said previously that this summer's release, featuring Ryan Reynolds , "did not live up to expectations - fell fairly far short of those." "The Sandman" Comic On It's Way To The Small Screen “The Sandman,” the Neil Gaiman-penned comic book series considered a seminal work in the medium, is in the early stages of being developed into a TV series. Warner Bros. TV is in the midst of acquiring television rights from sister company DC Entertainment and is in talks with several writer-producers about adapting the 1990s series. The book began in the horror realm but quickly made its mark in fantasy and mythology as Gaiman introduced the Endless, a group of powerful brothers and sisters that includes Destiny, Death, Destruction, Despair, Desire and Delirium (as well as Dream). The book helped establish DC’s Vertigo imprint and won several awards. It also was one of the few comics that segued from the comics crowd, entering t

In a recent interview with Empire magazine, Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) discussed his role as " mentor " for the upcoming Superman film reboot , scheduled for release during the 2012 holiday season. One of the most widely circulated statements made by Nolan was: "What you have to remember with both Batman and Superman, is that what makes those the best superhero characters there are, the most beloved after all this time, is the essence of who those characters were when they were created and when they were first developed. And you can't ever move too far from that." There is a tremendous amount of speculation regarding what form the new Superman film will take. Assuming that Nolan will have more than a passing amount of influence on the movie franchise's r
