Baron Zemo Will Not Wear The Signature Mask In Captain America: Civil War

Baron Zemo will be the latest villain to enter the lucrative Marvel films when he makes his debut in next summer's " Captain America: Civil War ." And though there aren't many specifics out there of how the former top scientist of the Nazi party will be used against Steve Rogers and other members of the Avengers, we did get a little piece of news from the actor playing him, Daniel Brühl ("Inglorious Bastards"). While promoting his next movie, "Burnt," starring opposite Bradley Cooper (in theaters October 30), Brühl told Business Insider that Zemo will be without one of his trademark looks. "He does not wear the mask," he said, referring to the purple cloak the character is famous for wearing after a vat of powerful adhesive, known as Adhesive X, spilled all over him during a fight with Captain America, preventing Zemo from ever removing it. "You would be surprised, it's different than what you'd think," sai

Kevin Feige Talks The Importance Spider-Man’s Role Is In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

As the chief at Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige usually has a lot to say – within reason – about the future of the films he oversees. He spoke at an event to promote the release of Avengers: Age Of Ultron on home entertainment in LA on Tuesday night ( attended by IGN ) and expounded on several topics, including the new Spider-Man ’s role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Asked about the deal to bring Spidey – now to be played by Tom Holland – into the Marvel fold (at least occasionally), Feige was predictably upbeat. " Making that agreement was great, and was really amazing, and on a personal level making these movies, it means a lot because I think we can do great things with Spider-Man," he said. "I think Spider-Man can serve great purpose in our universe and that's where he belongs. That was what was unique about him in the comics was not that he was the only superhero in the world; it's that he was a totally different kind of superhero when compared against

New Captain America: #CivilWar Concept Art Which Side Are You On?

Hawkeye himself, Jeremy Renner posting concept art to his Twitter account . Don’t read any further if you’re trying to avoid any spoilers, stop reading. See all the images after the Jump... The film, of course, finds Steve “Captain America” Rogers (Chris Evans) and Tony “Iron Man” Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) having a fundamental disagreement on how the government should interact with superheroes. Do they need more supervision? Are there new regulations that could be put in place? Tony, burned by experiences with Ultron, thinks there should. Steve’s not so sure. And thus the lines are drawn. From the art below, we can see that Tony's side boasts War Machine (James Rhodes, played by Don Cheadle), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanov), Black Panther (AKA T'Challa, in the shape of Chadwick Boseman) and Vision (Paul Bettany), who would surely guarantee victory in any squabble, unless you appeal to his hopeful nature. Rogers rounds up Hawkeye (Renner, posing

Quicksilver Returning For X-Men: Apocalypse

Scene stealer to take another run at audiences. By Brandon Wolfe For last summer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past , the biggest gripe in advance of the film’s release concerned Evan Peters’ Quicksilver . The character’s silver hair, shiny jacket and welder goggles looked goofy in stills, and that dumb Carl’s Jr. commercial didn’t help, either. Plus, the fact that Joss Whedon was also putting the character into Avengers: Age of Ultron with a less risible appearance seemed to instantly render Peters’ interpretation as the lesser Quicksilver straight out of the gate. Now fast-forward a year and the X-Men version of Quicksilver stole the show and had one of the best scenes in any movie last year with his slo-mo “Time in a Bottle” set piece, while the Avengers version died on the table and is already mostly forgotten. So it was a no-brainer for the character to return for next summer’s X-Men: Apocalypse , and director Bryan Singer confirmed in a set photo on Instagram today that the zi

Movie Review: Avengers: Age of Ultron

Avengers: Age of Ultron is a terrific thrillride and a (somewhat) worthy adversary to the original. Review by Matt Cummings Director Joss Whedon exits the Marvel Cinematic Universe in high style with the satisfying follow-up to his 2012 blockbuster. In Avengers: Age of Ultron , his team of heroes have taken down the last vestiges of Hydra, leaving a big question for Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) to consider: does the Earth need The Avengers anymore? The answer comes quickly when Stark tries to develop Artificial Intelligence in the form of Ultron, a global peace-keeping robot. But an ancient weapon soon corrupts his creation, overtaking JARVIS (voiced by Paul Bettany) and spawning a machine of pure hatred (voiced by James Spader), whose plans to rule humanity start by destroying it. As Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), the fragile Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and the rest of The Aven

No Post-Credits Scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron

Don’t expect a second helping of shawarma. By Brandon Wolfe The post-credits stinger has been a staple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe going all the way back to Nick Fury’s introduction at the tail end of Iron Man , but the streak will be broken in Avengers: Age of Ultron . The film will include a mid-credits epilogue, but nothing at the very end, director Joss Whedon tells Entertainment Weekly . “We all came at it separately—we don’t want to chase that,” Whedon said of the famous dinner scene in the original film. “That was a jewel and a weird little quirk. There is nothing at the very end. And that’s not a fake-out. We want people to know so they don’t sit there for ten minutes and then go: ‘Son of a bitch! I’ll kill them!’” Whedon says an attempt was made by all involved to concoct another memorable post-credits treat, but claims that “it didn’t seem to lend itself in the same way, and we wanted to be true to what felt right. The first rule of making a sequel is take t
