BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Dwayne Johnson Set To Star In #JungleCruise

THR is reporting Dwayne Johnson is teaming up with Disney to translate a theme park ride to the big-screen. Johnson is attached to star in Jungle Cruise , based on the classic ride, while John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, the duo behind the Will Smith heist movie Focus, have been tapped to write the script. The duo, who have directed movies such as Focus and Stupid Crazy Love , are not attached to helm at this stage. John Davis and John Fox of Davis Entertainment, the banner behind Man From U.N.C.L.E, are producing. Johnson’s involvement once again puts the Jungle boat back into the water after a multi-year dry-dock phase. Disney has been trying to mount a movie based on the popular ride since at least 2004, during the years when the success of The Pirates of the Caribbean set sail many ride-based projects. Jungle Cruise is one of the Disneyland’s original rides and has a retro adventure vibe, transporting parkgoers into a mélange of African settings such as the Nile Rive

Review by Matt Cummings It doesn't happen too often that an actor can get completely knocked down by one role, but for Will Smith that was After Earth . It was not only one of the worst films of 2013, but an embarrassing trainwreck that saw Smith lose nearly all of his credibility and charm. It's taken awhile to get that back, an Focus helps a lot, even though it suffers in a couple of key areas. When a one-night stand between Nicky Spurgeon (Smith) and Jess (Margo Robbie) leads to trouble with Jess' husband, it looks like Nicky will have to pay big time to make the problem go away. What Jess doesn't know is that Nicky is a smooth operator and con himself, swindling money left and right including her rings, wallet, and sunglasses from her before she even realizes it. The two decide to join forces during a football championship game in New Orleans, pick-pocketin
