BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Joe Johnston To Direct Narnia: The Silver Chair

Variety is reporting “ Captain America: The First Avenger ” helmer Joe Johnston will journey to “ Narnia: The Silver Chair ,” a revival of C.S. Lewis’ “Chronicles of Narnia” series. TriStar Pictures will partner with the Mark Gordon Company, the C.S. Lewis Company, and Entertainment One on the project with Mark Gordon, Lewis’ stepson Douglas Gresham, Vincent Sieber, and Melvin Adams producing the pic. “Life of Pi” scribe David Magee adapted the script. “Joe is a wonderful storyteller who is equally at home in the biggest franchises and the most intimate character pieces,” Gordon said. “Because C.S. Lewis’ story is iconic and epic, but also tender, personal, and emotional, he’s the perfect choice to bring ‘The Silver Chair’ to the screen.” The “Narnia” franchise’s three films — “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” “Prince Caspian,” and “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” — have hauled nearly $1.6 billion at the worldwide box office. Disney distributed the first two films, with

First TV Spot For #AGENTCARTER

Here is the first TV spot for AGENT CARTER series, arriving in January 2015 on ABC Years before Agent Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. team swore to protect those who cannot protect themselves from threats they cannot conceive, there was Agent Peggy Carter ( Hayley Atwell , Marvel’s “Captain America: The First Avenger,” Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”), who pledged the same oath but lived in a different time when women weren’t recognized as being as smart or as tough as their male counterparts. But no one should ever underestimate Peggy. It’s 1946 and peace has dealt Peggy a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy finds herself stuck doing administrative work when she would rather be back out in the field; putting her vast skills into play and taking down the bad guys. But she is also trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake

Dominic Cooper Joins #AgentCarter

There is some good news today for fans of Agent Peggy Carter , and, more specifically of the younger Howard Stark as played in Captain America: The First Avenger and the One-Shot by Dominic Cooper . The actor has made a deal to co-star in the TV series that will find them continuing the good fight. With Hayley Atwell returning as Peggy herself, Marvel’s Agent Carter will track the character as she deals with post-war America in 1946. Peacetime has not been the best time for Carter, marginalized by her colleagues and balancing administrative work with much more important, stealthy duties at the Strategic Scientific Reserve, helping to build what will eventually become S.H.I.E.L.D. We glimpsed something of her world in the short Carter adventure, which accompanied Iron Man 3's Blu-ray. Shea Whigham is set to play Roger Dooley, chief at the SSR and boss of agents Carter, Thompson ( Chad Michael Murray ) and Sousa ( Enver Gjokaj ). He joins a cast that also includes James D’Ar

Agent Carter Being Developed Into TV Show

The “ one shot ” short films featured as extras on Marvel movies’ DVD releases are becoming a hotbed for TV series ideas. After one such short, Item 47 on The Avengers DVD about the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., led to the new ABC/Marvel series, another one may also spawn a series project for ABC. Marvel is notoriously secretive about their development, and no one would comment, but I hear the company is working on a concept for a potential TV series inspired by Agent Carter , a one shot, which will be featured on the upcoming Blu-ray release of Iron Man 3. Directed by Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito, Agent Carter brings back Captain America’s girlfriend Peggy Carter , Marvel Agent Carter TV Seriesplayed by Hayley Atwell , and chronicles her life as a budding secret agent after her boyfriend is stranded in ice. The project is in very early stages, one of several in the works at Marvel, and is in the process of locking in a writer. It is unclear if Atwell would reprise h

Marvel's Agent Carter One-Shot Clip

If you seethed with barely contained envy when the San Diego Comic-Con was treated to Agent Carter , the brand new Marvel One-Shot, last weekend, you may be happy to learn that a clip has been put online. Set a year after the events in Captain America: The First Avenger , the short story finds Hayley Atwell’s resourceful Peggy Carter trying to throw herself into work following the disappearance of Chris Evans’s Steve Rogers. Trouble is, she’s been transferred to a new government agency where her superior (in title only), played by Bradley Whitford has decided that a woman’s work should be limited to desk jobs. Naturally, Peggy disagrees and uses a tip-off as a chance to head out on a mission. Directed by Louis D’Esposito (who also made last year’s Item 47), Agent Carter will be included in the Blu-ray and digital HD versions of Iron Man 3. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire

Will Captain America Be At Comic-Con?

Captain America will be at Comic-Con. There’s been much made of the fact that Marvel Studios is not taking any movie down to the annual gathering of geeks and pop culture, although Marvel superheroes will get their due via a Columbia Pictures panel for The Amazing Spider-Man . It is confirmed that Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance will be there, too. But what of Captain America: The First Avenger, which opens July 22, right smack in the middle of Comic-Con's July 20-24 run? Well, there will be no panel, but Heat Vision has learned that, while details are still being worked out, Marvel and Paramount, which is distributing the film, are planning a military salute that would involving star Chris Evans and soldiers stationed in San Diego. Evans would also attend the Con to do to signings at the Marvel booth. Additionally, whispers suggest a special Con screening of the film. One of the details needed to make all this happen is smoothing out Evans' schedule, so who know
