San Andreas Sequel Might Be On It's Way

THR is reporting New Line and Dwayne Johnson want to make the earth move for you one more time. The company has hired Neil Widener and Gavin James to write a sequel to San Andreas , the Johnson-starring earthquake disaster movie that grossed over $473 million worldwide last year. A good chunk of the team is due to return for the second installment. Johnson is swinging back to the sequel as is producer Beau Flynn, producing via his Flynn Picture Co. banner. Brad Peyton, who directed the movie, is also returning. The 2015 movie saw Johnson as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot who teams up with his estranged wife (Carla Gugino) to save their daughter (Alexandra Daddario) when a series of quakes crush Los Angeles and San Francisco. Gugino, Daddario and Paul Giamatti, who played a seismologist, are also expected to return. (Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore as well as Carlton Cuse wrote the original's script.) Plot details for the new installment are being sheltered

Movie Review: 'San Andreas'

San Andreas is big, loud, summer disaster fun, but is that enough to see it? Review by Matt Cummings Disaster films are always best viewed with the most minimum of expectations: make it big, make it loud, and hope all of the tearful goodbyes aren't too wincing. And although the human drama and the science behind Director Brad Peyton's San Andreas isn't great, the action is superb and performances good enough to warrant you take a chance. The LA Fire and Rescue helicopter pilot Ray (Dwayne Johnson) is a hulking figure whose professional accomplishments in Afghanistan and LA are overshadowed by the constant reminder of loss. One of his daughters perished in a rafting accident, which led to a painful divorce that his soon-to-be ex-wife (Carla Gugino) was forced to accept. Since then, Emma has moved in with a well-to-do architect (Ian Gufford), while Ray saves a young woman after an avalanche near LA. This seemingly small event peaks the interest of a Cal Tech

First Poster For #SANANDREAS

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson tweeted this first theatrical poster for his upcoming earthquake movie, SAN ANDREAS San Andreas finds the one-man man-mountain as Ray Gaines, a talented Los Angeles Fire Department rescue pilot who has just packed daughter Blake (Alexandra Daddario) off to San Francisco when the Big One, the mother (nature) of all earthquakes hits California and, if Paul Giamatti’s expert is to be believed, will be felt all across the US of A. With a whole lot of shaking going on and his spawn in danger, Ray must team up with his ex-wife Emma (Johnson’s Race To Witch Mountain co-star Carla Gugino) and try to find a way to track down their daughter. But the situation may be even worse than he suspects… Yup, the protein shake store is now a distant memory. Please Leave A Comment-

Arrow Season 3 Featurette. Teases 3-Part Trilogy

Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim teases the 3-part trilogy featuring the villain, Danny 'Brick' Brickwell . “In the aftermath of Oliver’s fight with Ra’s al Ghul, Diggle and Arsenal continue to protect the city in the Arrow’s absence. However, after three days without hearing from Oliver, they begin to fear the worst may have happened to their friend. Felicity refuses to believe that Oliver could be dead until Merlyn pays the team a surprise visit. Thea suspects there is something more behind Oliver’s disappearance and asks Merlyn for a favor. Meanwhile, Ray tests a part of his new suit and Laurel takes up the mantle of the Black Canary.” Please Leave A Comment-

"San Andreas" Trailer Rocks California

Dwayne Johnson anchors this one as Ray, a talented rescue pilot who has just packed daughter Blake ( Alexandra Daddario ) off to San Francisco when The Big One, the mother (nature) of all earthquakes hits California and, if Paul Giamatti ’s expert is to be believed, will be felt all across the US of A. With the ground heaving apart, buildings shaking and the Golden Gate bridge probably rolling its eyes and tutting, “not this shit again”, Ray must team up with his ex-wife Emma (Johnson’s Race To Witch Mountain co-star Carla Gugino) and try to find a way to track down their daughter. But the situation may be even worse Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire

First Images Of Dwayne Johnson From "San Andreas"

It must be tough to find things that can really threaten The Rock . You know, without going into the fantastical (dragons) or the mundane (a sudden shortage of protein supplement). For San Andreas , he’ll face a massive earthquake striking Los Angeles, and the first official images from the film are now online via USA Today . See all the images after the Jump... In the new disaster thriller, Mr. The Rock (or 'Dwayne Johnson' as he’s more commonly known) is Ray, a helicopter pilot who is cut off from his daughter Blake (Alexandra Daddario) when The Big One hits California. With the City of Angels and much of southern California’s coastline in shambles, he’ll have to team up with his ex-wife Emma (Carla Gugino) to rescue their spawn, who is stuck in San Francisco. “It all goes down. The damage, destruction, the loss of lives," Johnson tells USA Today. "Everything that you know on the West Coast doesn't see tomorrow." As for the actor, he lear

First Look At Katie Cassidy As The Black Canary

Laurel may be suiting up in a new Black Canary costume, but Arrow fans be warned: The novice is far from being a hero. Driven by revenge, Laurel ( Katie Cassidy ) has been desperate to take up the mantle of the Black Canary following the death of her sister Sara ( Caity Lotz ), inching her closer and closer to fulfilling her comic book destiny—something fans of the graphic novels have been eagerly awaiting since the show’s inception. But she may be putting the cart before the horse when she finally suits up. “Just because you put on a mask and a costume doesn’t mean you’re a superhero,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells EW. “A mask does not a hero make. We’re really at the beginning of Laurel’s journey to becoming the Black Canary, not the end by virtue of the fact that she’s put on a costume.” Therefore, when Laurel does finally go out to fight crime, “It’s not like Arrow [ Stephen Amell ], Arsenal [ Colton Haynes ] or Diggle [ David Ramsey ] going out into the field,

New #Arrow Season 3 Trailer

Oliver Queen ( Stephen Amell ) making the move on his trusted tech whiz Felicity Smoak ( Emily Bett Rickards ). While in the middle of another high-speed chase in Starling City, Oliver doesn't waste a second in asking Felicity out on that date. Watch the clip after the Jump... "Do you like Italian?" he asks innocently while racing through an abandoned backstreet on his bike. "Oliver, you're in the middle of a high-speed chase," Felicity says, slightly taken aback. Oliver's response? "I'm multitasking." In another moment, Oliver — lightening up a little — takes an early leave after some late-night crime-fighting only to have Quentin Lance ( Paul Blackthorne ) drop in this gem: "Do you have a hot date or something?" As the trailer — set to Death From Above 1979's "Trainwreck 1979" — suggests, it's a new day in Starling City in season three. Diggle ( David Ramsey ) puts it best when he says there are two ty
