Amell tested with a half-dozen actors over the weekend, but it was his chemistry with Fox that led to the studio eventually giving the role to the star of CW’s “Arrow.” Paramount had no comment on the casting. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Review: Uninspiring Pap Courtesy of Michael Bay

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is uninspiring pap targeted to a much younger people. And that's too bad. WARNING: spoilers ahead For someone who was just a little too old to buy into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when they arrived in the 1990's, I found myself wondering if the newest incarnation would somehow appeal to me. Having never aligned myself with any particular Turtles camp, I could easily see another franchise being added to my 'To-Do List.' Then I read the credits, and three words fill me with dread: Producer. Michael. Bay. Victims of a lab experiment gone wrong (or right?), four box turtles have morphed into six-foot muscle-bound ninjas, aided by their father and lab victim Splinter (voiced by Tony Shalhoub), who keeps them hidden from the public in the sewers under New York City. Michelangelo (Johnny Knoxville), Donatello (Jeremy Howard), Rafael (Alan Ritchson), and Leonardo (Pete Ploszek) are young and impetuous youths whose desire for comba

Jonathan Liebesman “Clash of the Titans” Sequel

Jonathan Liebesman Confirmed For “Clash of the Titans” Sequel Jonathan Liebesman has signed a deal to direct a sequel to “Clash of the Titans” for Warner Bros. and Legendary. Liebesman had been in contention to nab the directing gig since early June, with negotiations stretching through the summer. Money was a factor, as was the hurdle of overcoming the negative perception of this year's initial installment. The movie, a remake of the 1981 original, became a worldwide hit for Warners, grossing more than $491 million, although it garnered many negative reviews. The studio is hoping to right the wrongs, shooting it in 3D (as opposed to have it added during postproduction, as with the first movie) and tapping some of its top scribes to work on it. Greg Berlanti, one of the writers of “Green Lantern,” Dan Mazeau, who worked for Warners on “The Flash” and “Jonny Quest,” and David Leslie Johnson, writer of “Red Riding Hood,” the studio’s horror thriller starring Amanda Seyfried,
