Halle Bailey Is Your Ariel In Upcoming Live Action The Little Mermaid

Halle Bailey has been cast as Ariel in Disney’s upcoming live-action reimagining of The Little Mermaid . The film is directed by Rob Marshall and produced by Marshall, John DeLuca, Marc Platt and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The film will feature beloved songs from the animated classic by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as new songs by Menken (music) and Miranda (lyrics). Magic Behind The Little Mermaid Ride

One of the biggest rides to open this year at Disney California Adventure is going to be The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure , coming soon in 2011. The ride is also under construction at the Magic Kingdom in Fantasyland . The ride is scheduled to open at Disney's California Adventure in 2011 , with the Magic Kingdom version of the ride opening two years later . In this video, Imagineer Lisa Girolami takes you behind the curtain (or under the waves) to give you a first look at Ariel’s world. From the drawing board to the incredible scenery, this is an attraction sure to make a splash with guests. Characters will include Ariel, Prince Eric, King Triton, Sebastian, Flounder, and Ursula . Live Action The Little Mermaid Film On The Way

Live Action The Little Mermaid Film On The Way Working Title Films is teaming with director Joe Wright the director of such films as " Pride & Prejudice ," " Atonement " and " The Soloist ." is developing a live-action movie version of Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale " The Little Mermaid ." The script -- for what will be the first English-language live-action adaptation of the tale -- has been penned by Abi Morgan ("Brick Lane") for Working Title and Wright. It tells the classic tale of a young mermaid who gives up her life in the sea to love a human prince. Andersen's story was first published in 1837 and has been adapted numerous times for stage and screen. Wright's version is inspired by a children's puppet theatre production of the classic at London's Little Angel Theatre Company, backers said. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR
