BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

New Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk Trailer

Three-time Academy Award® winner Ang Lee brings his extraordinary vision to Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk , based on the acclaimed, bestselling novel. The film is told from the point of view of 19-year-old private Billy Lynn (newcomer Joe Alwyn ), who, along with his fellow soldiers in Bravo Squad, has been hailed as a hero and brought home for a victory tour after a harrowing Iraq battle. Through flashbacks, culminating at the spectacular halftime show of the Thanksgiving Day football game, the film reveals what really happened to the squad - contrasting the realities of the Iraq conflict with America's celebration back home. In his film, which also stars Kristen Stewart, Chris Tucker, Garrett Hedlund, with Vin Diesel and Steve Martin. Lee dramatizes war in a way truly never seen before, using new technology to shoot and project portions at a framerate of 120 frames per second for the first time in film history. The screenplay is by Jean-Christophe Castelli. Ple

Ice Cube Wants A Last Friday Movie

Ice Cube may have one more Friday movie in him. On Monday the rapper, actor, and filmmaker revealed on Twitter that he has met with New Line Cinema about making Last Friday , which would be the fourth film in the comedy franchise about an everyman trying to get by in South Central L.A. Cube’s update came with a caveat, however: “Can’t do Last Friday unless we can do it right,” he wrote. “Ball is in New Line Cinema’s hands. Bat is in mine.” Cube starred in and made his screenwriting debut on the original Friday, which was released in 1995 and helped propel costar Chris Tucker to stardom. A low-budget hit, the film spawned two sequels, 2000’s Next Friday and 2002’s Friday After Next. There has been talk of a potential fourth installment since at least 2011. Cube’s tweet came a day after he shot down rumors that his son, Straight Outta Compton star O’Shea Jackson Jr., would star in a Friday remake. “Can’t mess with a classic,” he said. Could Vin Diesel & Chris Tucker Join Long Halftime Walk

THR is reporting that Vin Diesel and Chris Tucker are in negotiations to join the growing cast of Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk , the adaptation of the Ben Fountain novel being directed by Ang Lee . Newcomer Joe Alwyn is starring as the title character with Steve Martin, Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund in various stages of negotiations to join the roll call. Simon Beaufoy wrote the screenplay telling the story of a 19-year-old private (Alwyn) who survives a battle in Iraq that is captured by news cameras. He and his company of soldiers are brought back to the U.S. for a promotional tour culminating in a halftime show at a Thanksgiving Day football game. Most of the movie takes place during the day of the game, with flashbacks to the wartime events. Diesel will play a professional soldier while Tucker will play a movie producer who is intent on making a movie about the soldiers. Both Diesel and Tucker represent big gets for the movie. Silver Linings Playbook Review. Is It An Oscar Contender, Or A Playoff Pretender

Silver Linings Playbook Review By: MattInRC Is Silver Linings Playbook an Oscar contender, or a playoff pretender? The answer is, probably maybe. To be merely good in Hollywood these days seems good enough when the weekly box office results are announced. While some films deserve their status (see Skyfall, Lincoln, and The Avengers), others are simply head scratches. Still others are given such pre-release Oscar buzz that no manner of acting can match expectations. Such is the predicament for Silver Linings Playbook, which seeks to unravel the world of mental illness and one man's journey to escape it. But much like its venerated Philadelphia Eagles which parallels the tale, Linings is filled with promise but short on results and prone to unevenness. Having been recently released from a mental hospital after a violent breakdown involving his cheating wife Nikki, Pat Solitano ( Bradley Cooper , Limitless) moves back into his parents' house in suburban Phil

Could Another Friday Film Be On The Way?

It's been almost ten years since the last instalment, but Ice Cube and New Line are apparently keen to revive the slacker Friday franchise. The first Friday was a stoner comedy released in 1995. It's nominal plot involved Chris Tucker's need to get $200 back to local drug dealer Big Worm ( Faizon Love ) and Cube's face-off with bully Deebo ( Tiny Lister ), but its easygoing pace allowed for plenty of sitting around on porches, talking nonsense and smoking. Five years later, Next Friday was a broader tale of Cube staying with his cousin Day-Day ( Mike Epps ) and getting embroiled in some shenanigans against the trio of haplessly inept Latino gangstas next door (this was at the height of Cube's rather public spat with Cypress Hill, context fans). The Cube/Epps double-act continued into Friday After Next , which saw them as mall cops. There was also a short-lived animated series, although none of the movie series cast provided the voices. The first film wa

Chris Tucker Is Finally Ready To Make His Return To The Big Screen

Chris Tucker is apparently ready for moviegoers to hear more words coming out of his mouth. The fast-talking actor-comedian is in talks for a role in The Silver Linings Playbook for writer-director David O. Russell and The Weinstein Co. Tucker hasn't been on the big screen since 2007, when he last reprised his detective role opposite Jackie Chan in Rush Hour 3 . Playbook , which is scheduled to shoot in the fall, stars Bradley Cooper as a high school teacher just released from a mental institution after four years and looking to reconcile with his wife. It's an adaptation of the novel by Matthew Quick. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

Chris Tucker Joining "The Rabbit"

Will Chris Tucker Hop Like A Rabbit? Considering how little he tends to work (at least when Brett Ratner's not on the phone), you’d almost think there’d be some sort of alarm when Chris Tucker ’s linked to a new project. Maybe a recording of his weird DJ from The Fifth Element? Anyway, no matter what it sounds like, Warner Bros. is pulling the chain to fire it up as the studio has just bought The Rabbit , a spec script that will likely feature him. There aren’t actually any details about the screenplay to hand just yet, though we do know that newcomer Micah Barnett wrote it and, according to Deadline , it’ll be an action comedy in the Midnight Run mould. So that probably means Tucker being a loud mouth and getting tracked down for something, then forming an unlikely partnership with a grouchy, mumbling partner. But that’s just a guess, of course. The only other solid information is that regular Warners producer Dan Lin – he of the Sherlock Holmes movies, and the man currentl

Top 5 Stoner Movies Of All-Time

Top 5 Stoner Movies Of All-Time Since the beginning of its popularity in the United States, marijuana has influenced generations, cultures, as well as blockbuster Hollywood films. Marijuana is so popular, it has been said that more than 18 million people used it in 2009, and that's just the out-of-the-closet potheads. What if you added the behind-the-scenes, no-one knows, users? That number would probably triple. If it wasn't so, Hollywood wouldn't make movies about it, and we wouldn't have these hilariously funny movies to watch. It's time to countdown the Top 5 Stoner Films of All-Time, so sit back and relax, because it's time to get BAKED! (Note: When I say Stoner films, I mean Stoner films. These are all films that are either dedicated to or are influenced by marijuana.) 5.
