Movie Review: #AlienCovenant Time to scream in space again!

Time to scream in space again! Rama delivers us another review. Finally, after the incredibly boring “ Prometheus ,” Ridley Scott gave us Alien Covenant which reminds us exactly why we sci-fi horror fans have always loved this franchise. This is not only a return to form, this movie will scare you to your core. Undeniably terrifying. Katherine Waterston ’s character Daniels may not be completely equal to Sigourney Weaver ’s iconic character Ripley but Daniels is badass in her own right. Scripted by John Logan and Dante Harper with story by Jack Paglen and Michael Green and directed by the man who helmed the first original “Alien” film, “Alien: Covenant” is essentially a sequel to “Prometheus.” You get to see what happens to Elizabeth Shaw and David, while at the same time there’s a crew of a colony ship arriving on a remote planet that they think is an uncharted paradise but the reality is far more sinister. They then must fight their way to escape the ever present threat. A c

Time to scream in space again! RAMA is back. Finally, after the incredibly boring “Prometheus,” Ridley Scott gave us #AlienCovenant which reminds us exactly why we sci-fi horror fans have always loved this franchise. Alien: Covenant Poster & New Release Date

The first thing you notice about the Alien: Covenant poster that has just been put online via 20th Century Fox's Twitter feed is the slavering jaws of a xenomorph (or whatever version exists in the film). And then you might also notice that the image indicates a change for the film - it'll arrive in May next year, instead of August. Alien: Covenant finds director Ridley Scott heading back to the Alien universe after Prometheus, and following a colony ship called the Covenant headed for a remote planet, a place that the crew initially thinks is an uncharted paradise but turns out to be dark and full of terrors. And the only inhabitant is synthetic life form David ( Michael Fassbender ), who claims to be the lone survivor of the Prometheus mission. Katherine Waterston, Demián Bichir, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, Billy Crudup and Danny McBride make up the ship's crew, and it appears we'll catch up with Noomi Rapace 's Dr. Elizabeth Shaw. Blade Runner's Sequel Is Titled Blade Runner 2049 & First BTS Image

We're now a year away from the much-anticipated (and much-puzzled over) sequel to Ridley Scott's 1982 classic Blade Runner . Many of the details are still under wraps, but at least it's no longer untitled: the film is called Blade Runner 2049 . Which makes sense, since the movie is apparently set several (the title makes it three, since the original takes place in 2019) decades after Scott's film. Harrison Ford is back as Rick Deckard, and the world he inhabits has just gotten worse, with environmental catastrophe plaguing humanity. Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Carla Juri, Barkhad Abdi and Dave Bautista are also among the cast, with Sicario and Arrival's Denis Villeneuve calling the shots. First Image From Alien: Covenant

Though we'd have thought that yesterday's Alien Day social media and marketing blitz might have been the best day to launch a new image from Ridley Scott's next trip into the Alien universe, we suppose it makes sense to steer clear of the chatter. Much as with Star Trek Beyond's initial peek, it's a picture of a ship's patch, in this case the titular craft. And look! The angels from the Ark of the Covenant. Fitting, but as Indiana Jones can tell you, associating with that particular relic might not end well... According to the basic synopsis of the film, the story finds the colony ship Covenant headed for a remote planet, a place that the crew initially thinks is an uncharted paradise but turns out to be dark and full of terrors. And the only inhabitant is synthetic life form David ( Michael Fassbender ), who claims to be the lone survivor of the Prometheus mission. Scott, working this time from a script by Michael Green and Jack Paglen, has Katherine W

Movie Review: 'The Martian'

The science-fiction epic The Martian is also an irresistible human drama. Review by Matt Cummings With news recently that Mars most likely has water, mankind seems more ready than ever to venture there. Thus it seems fitting that Ridley Scott's The Martian should arrive to remind us of the dangers those journeys will ultimately bring. But the result is a brilliant, smart, and well-acted affair that is also one of the best films of the year. While on a mission to Mars, Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is left behind after a massive storm leaves him injured and presumed dead. His commander (Jessica Chastain), and fellow crew members (Michael Pena, Kate Mara, and Sebastian Stan) are forced to abandon the mission, while Watney wakes up injured and covered in sand. Rather than giving up, he decides to survive until the next mission arrives four years later, 'sciencing the shit' out of the remains of base camp into a partial greenhouse. Meanwhile on Earth, NASA Direct
