BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Ruben Fleischer To Direct Uncharted

Here we go again... The seemingly poisoned chalice that is the directing assignment on Sony's adaptation of the Uncharted is now likely to end up in the hands of Zombieland 's Ruben Fleischer, who has landed at the top of the studio's wishlist. The Uncharted series, should you be unaware, is a globe-trotting, loot-hunting set of Playstation games, blending Indiana Jones-style adventuring with several parts Tomb Raider and just a dash of National Treasure. Its hero is Nathan Drake (voiced by Nolan North), who undertakes action-packed trips to the likes of El Dorado, Shambala and the Iram of the Pillars, quipping many a quip and shooting many a henchman along the way. A film based on the game has become a revolving door of filmmakers and actors, with Bumblebee's Travis Knight the most recent director to vacate the seat as the studio aims to have the movie shooting before current star Tom Holland swings off to appear in the next Spider-Man film later this year. First Image Of Hailee Steinfeld & Bumblebee

Empire scores an exclusive image from Transformers spin-off Bumblebee . Hailee Steinfeld is the latest sidekick for the vocally challenged, heroic Autobot. Bumblebee himself, meanwhile, is no longer the other movies' Chevy Camaro, but a VW Beetle, as he was in the original cartoons. Travis Knight , boss of Laika animation studios (and director of the company's most recent film, Kubo And The Two Strings) is the director for this one: the first of the modern Transformers films not to be directed by Michael Bay. "I wanted to approach this massive, expansive franchise and really focus in on a tiny corner of the canvas," Knight told us. "Everything I’ve tried to do at Laika, searching for an artful blend of darkness and light, intensity and warmth, humour and heart, I wanted to bring to the Transformers franchise." Bumblebee is out next December. Discuss this with fellow SJF fans on Facebook . On Twitter, follow us at @SandwichJohnFilms Please Le

Paramount Pictures, in association with HASBRO, announced today that principal photography has commenced on “ BUMBLEBEE .” The film’s shoot will take place entirely in California, including in Southern and Northern California. Hailee Steinfeld To Star In Bumblebee Spinoff Film

THR is reporting Hailee Steinfeld is in negotiations to star in Paramount's Transformers spinoff Bumblebee . Travis Knight, who directed the stop-motion movie Kubo and the Two Strings, is helming the project. Bumblebee is the yellow and black striped Autobot that appears as one of the main characters in the Transformers film series. Plot details are being kept on the dark side of the moon, but it is known that Steinfeld will play a tomboy who also holds a job as a mechanic after school. Christina Hodson (Shut In) wrote the script. The movie project is the first spinoff in what the studio hopes will be a Transformers Cinematic Universe that will include prequels and offshoots from a line of movies that have generated over $3.7 billion worldwide — with the latest one, Transformers: The Last Knight, set to hit theaters June 23. Bumblebee is slated for a June 8, 2018, release. Steinfeld made her feature debut in Joel and Ethan Coen’s 2010 remake of True Grit, netting her

Travis Knight Tapped To Direct Transformers Bumblebee Spin-Off

File this one under "utterly unexpected director choices". It's not so much that Laika CEO Travis Knight , who last year directed the excellent Kubo And The Two Strings , has signed on to make the Transformers Bumblebee spin-off , more that we're a little surprised Knight would want to tackle such a film as his live-action debut. And yet: here we are. The movie, which represents Paramount's first attempt to widen the Transformers universe, has been in development for a while, spawned from the writers' room set up by the studio to generate an expanded cinematic universe for the Autobots and Decepticons. Christina Hodson has been at work on the script, with TF regulars Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and Michael Bay acting as producers. The movie is intended to arrive in theaters next year, so Knight will have to put the pedal to the metal. As for Bay's current robo-conflict effort as director, Transformers: The Last Knight crashes in on 23 June. Please Leav
