Though there were worries when the film was held back from last year’s awards season so director Bennett Miller could tinker further with it, true-life drama Foxcatcher is proving to be worth the wait, with critics at Cannes predicting potential Oscars. Foxcatcher , which features a script from E. Max Frye and Dan Futterman, tells the gripping, real-life story of Olympic Wrestling Champion brothers Mark Schultz ( Channing Tatum ) and Dave Schultz ( Mark Ruffalo ). They’re invited to launch a wrestling academy funded by eccentric John du Pont ( Steve Carell ), heir to the du Pont Chemical fortune. Though it initially seemed like a great opportunity, things turned darkly tragic when the paranoid schizophrenic du Pont murdered Dave, leaving Mark to seek justice. The film promises a very different performance from Carell, who has branched out into drama, but nothing quite as intense as this. TV Recap: Supernatural (Finale) "Do you Believe In Miracles" By: Sue Dean’s anger continues to flare, and Sam and Castiel are forced to hold him back to prevent him from killing Gadriel. Sam and Castiel plan to lock Dean up while they figure out what to do with him. He rants and raves how this is not the time to sheath his weapon, to neuter him before they go up against Metatron. And while the shut the door to his cell, Castiel has to admit he has a point. His followers have abandoned him. The pair go to check on Gadriel, but he isn’t where they left him, just a lot of blood. Gadriel is somewhere choking on his lungs. Metatron types away at his grand epic. His follower gushes over him while he tries to find the most pathetic of outfits. The angel has set up Angel radio to transmit only Metatron’s message. He welcomes back the angels, his heart full of love. He tells them that he’s going on a short trip, that Heaven’s door will temporarily be closed until his return.

TV Review: From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series “The Take” By: Brandon Wolfe All season long, ‘ From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series ’ has struggled to justify its existence. It never really made a ton of sense why this movie in particular had been chosen for expansion into a TV series, other than because it had vampires in it, and the series never gave us the impression that even it knew how to resolve that crucial issue. It mostly just played like a dragged-out, dumbed-down remake, and the handful of new ideas the series offered up never felt like enough to offset the feeling that we’ve seen this all before, the same way before, and much better. “The Take” concludes the first season of ‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’, and while it’s one of the stronger episodes of the season, it still doesn’t feel like this show is on any path toward figuring itself out.
