BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

All Superheroes Must Die Trailer

When it comes to superhero showdowns, the more the merrier—so here's the first full look at a crazy crimefighter indie feature with trampoline cage fighting and a flame-throwing Uncle Sam. Heat it up! Injecting equal measures of Mystery Men, Kickass and Saw, this latest wannabe urban vigilante entry from Image Entertainment is directed with minimal cash by Jason Trost (The FP), who stars alongside James Remar and Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class). Remar plays a Jigsaw-like puppetmaster who pits four spandexed crusaders against each other in a mind-blowing, sinister game of death. (Cue evil cackle.) There's an air of been-there, seen-that, but with the right execution and tonal balance, this flick could be a happy hit in the bright new year. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Blastr

Anna Karenina Review. Oscar Glory In It's Future?

Anna Karenina Review By: MattInRC Does the bold Anna Karenina have Oscar glory emblazoned on its beauty pageant sash? Read on to find out. Among the most visually stunning movies in memory, Anna Karenina is a bold spectacle, keenly self-aware of its environment, and daring audiences to peer into its chaotic and highly-stylized snowball. But like an old repainted door, the rust of a chunky tragic love story rears its head far too often to either keep our attention or root for anyone inside the ball.11 For those of you unfamiliar with Tolstoy’s 846-page planet-killer, here’s the 24-hour news cycle summary: the beautiful and independent aristocrat Anna Karenina ( Keira Knightley , King Arthur) and the dashing Count Vronsky ( Aaron Taylor-Johnson , Kick-Ass) fall head over heels in love with each other, while Anna’s dull politician husband Alexi ( Jude Law , Gattaca) watches his marriage fall apart. As the young lovers descend into a messy affair, Russia’s uncompromising

Rise of the Guardians Review. Does It Rekindle Our Love For The Holidays?

Rise of the Guardians Review By: MattInRC Does Rise of the Guardians rekindle our childhood love for the holidays? Read on to find out. As Fall begins its blustery journey, earnestly pushing out Summer in preparation for the silent darkness of Winter, Rise of the Guardians seeks to get us into the holiday mood with an enjoyable and solid animated effort. Jack Frost (voiced by Chris Pine ) is a 300-year-old troublemaker with no memory of his previous life, except that the silent Man in the Moon somehow played a role in his creation. Jack lives for the moment, encouraging cold temperatures and orchestrating playful snow fights between the kids, even as yet another Spring takes its foothold. Although his origin remains a mystery, he's sure of one thing: children cannot see him due to their lack of believing. They think the Snow Days and the yearly onslaught of Winter are due to natural, not human forces, representing the greatest disrespect by failing to give him the

Lenny Kravitz To Channel Marvin Gaye

There was a time when Lenny Kravitz’s only connection to movies was when his songs appearing on the soundtrack. But, thanks to a small role in Precious , playing Cinna in The Hunger Games (a part he’ll reprise in Catching Fire ), and Lee Daniels' upcoming The Butler , he’s now making strides on screen. And according to the Evening Standard, he’s now director Julien Temple’s choice to play Marvin Gaye in a new film. The movie, which has been in development for a while now (and has faced down competition from Cameron Crowe’s planned biopic) is set near the end of the singer’s life. With his glory days seemingly behind him, Gaye had fled to London under investigation for tax evasion and deep into drug and alcohol addiction. Music promoter Freddy Couseart took him to his flat in Belgium and helped him pull out of the tailspin. The result was his first post-Motown album, Midnight Love, which featured the now iconic single Sexual Healing. Temple has been getting the financing

Joe Carnahan All In For Mark Millar's Nemesis

Earlier this week, Mark Millar revealed that work was still ongoing with the big screen adaptation of his and Steve McNiven's Nemesis , and the wriiter has now confirmed (via the Millarworld Forums ) that Joe Carnahan will indeed direct and write the screenplay alongside his brother Matthew. The former was recently in the running to helm a 1970s set Daredevil movie for Fox, but issues with the rights now means that that will not be happening. With any luck, that bad news for fans of the "Man Without Fear" will be good news for fans of Nemesis. As you can see from the comments below, there's currently no word on casting, although it definitely sounds as if we should expect to see Liam Neeson as Det. Blake Morrow if talks end up working out. "Shot straight from a wedding in Manchester last week to the City of Angels and plunged straight into some studio biz on the Nemesis movie. Mighty Joe Carnahan is directing (from a script by he and his brother Matthew)

Marisa Tomei Joins Grant In A Romantic Film

Now that Hugh Grant and writer/director Marc Lawrence have officially decided to join forces for what will be their fourth romantic-comedy collaboration, they’re starting to lock down actors for other roles in the new, as-yet-untitled movie. According to The Wrap , Marisa Tomei is in negotiations to sign on. The film will focus on Ray Michaels ( Grant ), a charming, handsome Englishman who is the toast of Hollywood in the late 1980s. A successful screenwriter, he has Tinseltown at his feet after winning an Oscar for Best Screenplay. But the fickle finger of fortune decides to mess with him, and 15 years later, he’s creatively washed-up, flat broke and utterly unemployed. Needing to make money, he takes the only job he can dig up, teaching writing at a small college on the East coast. Figuring it’ll be a chance to use whatever fleeting fame he has to impress college girls, he doesn’t bet on finding romance with a single mother (Tomei) who has gone back to school. Please Leav
