In very depressing news for those of us feeling old, it’s now been 30 years since 1984’s Ghostbusters first graced the big screen. In more exciting news, the director and some of the stars of that beloved comedy reunited for Entertainment Weekly's latest Reunions issue that hits stands Friday. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts , and director Ivan Reitman all donned the iconic logo again. Sigourney Weaver is in negotiations to join the cast of The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes , Constantin's sequel to its upcoming supernatural fantasy, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones . Much of the cast of the first installment, which opens Aug. 21 and includes Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers, Robert Sheehan, Jemima West and Jonathan Rhys Meyers , is returning -- as is director Harald Zwart. The project continues the story of a girl ( Collins ) who discovers she is a demon-slaying Shadowhunter and enters a world filled with warring vampires, werewolves and faeries, while also falling for another Shadowhunter ( Bower ). Carla Gugino is heading to Washington D.C. The actress has closed a deal to join USA Network's six-hour politics-driven drama series, Political Animals , from executive producers Greg Berlanti and Laurence Mark. Set for a summer launch, Political Animals centers on Elaine Barrish ( Sigourney Weaver ), a divorced former first lady and current secretary of state, who is struggling to keep her family together while simultaneously dealing with the crises of the State Department. Avatar: Special Edition DVD/Blu-Ray Extra 16 Minutes Of Footage Avatar: Special Edition hit theaters yesterday and over 9 minutes of extra footage. Has anybody gone out to see it again or for the first time? I would recommend going to watch it in 3D if you haven't had this experience yet. If you were like me I didn't pick up Avatar when it was released on DVD, knowing that down the road there would be a special edition re-release of the film, and now we have word on Avatar: Special Edition DVD & Blu-ray will have 16 minutes of extra footage. “Well, if you buy the box set in November, you can sit down, and in a continuous screening of the film, watch it with the Earth opening … It works very well. It just takes a long time to get the movie started. You have to be sort of predisposed to like the movie like a fan, you know what I mean?
