Legion Director Plans 2 Sequels Scott Stewart, the writer and co-director of Legion, said he has plans for two more films that could be done in very different genres—if the apocalyptic film about a battle among angels does well when it opens on Jan. 22. Stewart not only directed and co-wrote (with Peter Schink) the movie, but he also co-wrote the four-issue comic book Legion: Prophets with Tom Waltz for IDW Publishing. Characters mentioned or referred to in the movie are fleshed out in the comic book, which came out last November and is considered a prequel to the film. "I have two other films in mind after Legion," Stewart told SCI FI Wire on Sunday at the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention. Soderbergh's 'Knockout' Rounds Out It's Cast Steven Soderbergh promised to surround mixed martial artist Gina Carano with strong actors for her feature debut when he first spoke about his revenge spy movie “Knockout,” and he is now delivering the goods. Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor and Michael Douglas are in negotiations to join the cast of the production, which is being financed by Relativity. Dennis Quaid is also in negotiations in join the cast. Written by Lem Dobbs, the story sees a female spy (Carano) working for a Blackwater-style security contractor who is betrayed by one of her teammates. McGregor would play the owner of the company, a one-time confidant of Carano who switches allegiances. Fassbender will play a British agent who teams up with Carano but proves untrustworthy while Douglas will play an American executive of McGregor’s company who works with her to take down the company. I am getting very excited for this movie. Now if only January was closer. I guess this trailer will have to do for now.
