BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Lucas Till Cast As #MacGyver

Hollywood has gone MacGyver mad in the last couple of years, with the film version in development via James Wan evolving into a TV pilot focusing on the younger years of the character famously brought to life in the 1980s by Richard Dean Anderson. Now Lucas Till  ( X-Men: Apocalypse) has landed the role of Angus MacGyver. The TV series turns back to the clock to find MacGyver in the earliest days of his career, after he's recruited to help a clandestine government organisation stop international crime and disasters. He has a talent for coming up with unorthodox solutions and making use of whatever happens to be around at the time, from paper clips and chewing gum. And he never goes anywhere without his trusty pen knife. Also new to the cast? Joshua Boone, who will play Gunner, MacGyver's best friend from high school. They join George Eads, playing Lincoln, a conspiracy theorist with more than the usual amount of knowledge. The pilot has a script from Paul Downs Colai

Television Review: #Bosch Season 2

Amazon's evolving series is beautifully shot but hardly addictive. Review by Matt Cummings If Amazon's solid first offering of Bosch proved anything, it's that the sometimes worn-out cop genre still had more stories to tell. Expertly handled by Michael Connelly - who wrote the books and produced the series - it made instant fans with Amazon's gritty and ugly look at LA and its cops. Season 2 picks up right where the first left off, although the result is hardly addictive. Returning six months after putting his boss through a plate glass window, Bosch (Titus Welliver) returns from suspension to dive headfirst into the murder of guy stuffed in his own trunk and dumped in the Hollywood Hills. The events lead Bosch and his partner Jerry Edgar (Jamie Hector) to the widow Veronica Allen, who doesn't seem surprised by the news. Apparently, Mr. Allen was a womanizer, a porn producer, and dealt in dirty mob money. But as Bosch and Edgar begin pulling on t

Soundtrack Review: #10CloverfieldLane

10 Cloverfield Lane boldly digs its alien thriller claws into us and won't let go. Review by Matt Cummings If you've seen 10 Cloverfield Lane - and we hope this review will help to convince you - it might already be clear why the thing is such a hit. Central to its success is the score by Battlestar Galactica Composer Bear McCreary, who creates a fabulously haunting and creepy experience that's as every bit as good as the movie. Having just left her boyfriend (voiced by Bradley Cooper), Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) finds her life is once again in pieces as she pumps gas at a lonely station. Soon, her life takes an unexpected turn, as she's hit by another car, sending hers tumbling off the road. She awakens to a busted up knee and chained to the wall in an undisclosed location, courtesy of her captor Howard (John Goodman). He informs Michelle that an attack has occurred above his bunker, and that his kindness is the only reason why she's s

TV Review: #DaredevilSeason2 Badass To The Bone!

Badass to the bone! RAMA is back with another review. Please keep in mind that the following review of Daredevil season 2 is based solely on my having watched the first few episodes, I haven’t seen this new season in its entirety, yet but I’m stoked enough to at least start sharing you my thoughts about it. Just like you, I too was a huge fan of season 1, and my goodness if you think Vincent D’Onofrio’s villainous character, Wilson Fisk, was brutal and merciless, wait till you get a load of everyone’s favorite anti-hero, Frank Castle/Punisher, played by “The Walking Dead” alum, Jon Bernthal In season 1, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) was having a rough start, getting used to this whole vigilante, it was a trial-and-error work-in-progress learning along the way type of work. And now, in season 2, just when Matt thinks he’s getting used to bringing order back to the city, fact of the matter is Wilson Fisk’s absence creates vacuum, every gang in town is fighting to fill the void. But
