The projects executive producers are Dan Brown, Anna Culp, Bill Connor, and David Householter. Pirates of the Caribbean 5 Begins Filming

Will Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley return? Story by Matt Cummings For fans of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, it's been a bumpy road as of late. Two excellent films - Curse of the Black Pearl and Dead Man's Chest - were followed up by two thoroughly disappointing ones, in At World's End and On Stranger Tides . Some have pointed out that the failure of the last two were due to poor character development of leads Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, and that their absence in On Stranger Tides sealed the fate of one of the most successful live-action series in history. Still others blame the decision to feature Actor Johnny Depp's quirky Jack Sparrow so prominently in On Stranger Tides as the prominent reason for that film's failure. Debate was fierce over whether the Knightley-Bloom-Depp triangle was the reason for the series' early success, and whether or not that relationship should be renewed. As Dead Men Tell No Tales

TV Review: Better Call Saul "Nacho"

Trouble calls Saul from all directions. Review by Brandon Wolfe One of the neater tricks that Better Call Saul is pulling thus far is tinkering with its chronology. The series opened with a glimpse of Saul’s future before flashing back to explore his past, but “Nacho” sets the Wayback even further, opening with a scene from Saul’s more distant past, when he was in hot water for a laundry list of unspecified crimes serious enough to possibly label young Jimmy McGill a sex offender (!). In this scene, we see Saul as the sort of sketchy lowlife we frequently saw loitering in his waiting room on Breaking Bad , begging his own slick lawyer, a much more cogent version of brother Chuck, to save his bacon. Better Call Saul ’s status as a prequel initially seemed limiting (and, in some respects, still does), but the spin-off’s eagerness to not only offer us Saul’s pre-Walt past, but to present a cross-section of the lawyer’s entire life, makes it a more exciting and elastic prospect tha

Marion Cotillard has signed on to star with Michael Fassbender in the Justin Kurzel-directed Assassin’s Creed, the live-action adaptation of the Ubisoft video game. They starred together in Macbeth, and Kurzel directed the film, which The Weinstein Company will release later this year. They’re keeping under wraps the role that Cotillard plays, but she’s a versatile actress who won the Oscar for La Vie En Rose, and also played an action role in The Dark Knight Rises. Like Fassbender, her role is meant to span multiple films if this one scores and becomes a franchise.
