BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Luke Evans Is The Crow

After years of development hell, Relativity Media's new version of The Crow seems, finally, to have coalesced into a going concern. As we already knew, F. Javier Gutierrez (Before The Fall) is the film's director. But now we also, at longest last, have an actor signed and sealed to play the unfortunate anti-hero Eric Draven . The man in the corpse paint will be (*goth metal drum roll*) Luke Evans . If that's a surprise to the world at large, it's apparently not a sudden decision on the part of the filmmakers, with Deadline claiming that Evans has been top of the wishlist for some time. He was believed to be out of the running due to his commitments to Dracula Year Zero (in which he plays Dracula) and the publicity treadmill for The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug (where he's Bard the Bowman) but the potential schedule clashes have been avoided by Relativity pushing The Crow's start date to accommodate him. This new Crow was kickstarted by Stephen Norri

Silver Samurai Poster From The Wolverine

If anyone can compete with Bryan Singer in terms of figuring out Twitter as a movie PR tool, it’s The Wolverine’s James Mangold. He’s been offering vids, Vines, pics and hints as to the movie’s theme and this weekend took to the social media site to premiere a rather excellent ink-styled poster for the movie’s big bad, Silver Samurai . Crafted in much the same way as the poster for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine   it’s an image of Kenuichio Harada (Will Yun Lee) who becomes a major problem for Logan in Japan. The Wolverine finds the hirsute hero traveling to the country, where he clashes with the Yashida crime family on behalf of love interest Mariko (Tao Okamoto). It's based on the classic Frank Miller/Chris Claremont comic run, and also stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Rila Fukushima, Brian Tee and Svetlana Khodchenkova. It’ll stalk into cinemas on July 26. And from the sounds of it, we’ll be seeing more from Silver Samurai soon. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Emp

Does May Finally Bring Moviegoers Back To Theaters?

Does May finally bring moviegoers back to theaters? By: MattInRC With crowds still staying away from theaters in droves - April 2013 was down 21% from April 2012 - the movie season is about a huge shot in the arm, with no less than 4 potential $200 million domestic grossers slated for release - Iron Man 3 , Star Trek Into Darkness, Fast Six, and The Hangover Part III . That's an impressive lineup, and one that Hollywood desperately needs big numbers from in order to right their ship. Let's take a look at each of these by week: May 3 Iron Man 3 is already a monster at the box office, potentially to take in a mesmerizing $175 million in its opening weekend. And while that's exactly what Hollywood needed, it's actually lower than last year's The Avengers , which opened to a $207.4 million domestic weekend. Say what you want about the film's treatment of The Mandarin, it seems like the film has already set a pretty high bar for the Summer 2013 season.

New Concept Art From Captain America: The Winter Soldier

While the first Captain America was a World War II action-adventure, the new one is conceived as a 1970s-style conspiracy thriller—in tone, if not time period. “We weren’t going back to World War II,” says Feige, especially since Chris Evans’ hero was introduced to modern times in Avengers. “Cap cannot travel in time. So while Tony can go home to Malibu and Thor goes up to Asgard and Hulk can sort of ride the rails, Cap was stuck.” At the end of the 2011′s Captain America: The First Avenger , supersoldier Steve Rogers woke up to find he was a man out of time. Now he finds he’s also a man without a place. “So Cap does stay with S.H.I.E.L.D. because he has nowhere else to go,” Feige says. “But he’s not necessarily comfortable there. As you might imagine, somebody who’s spent 70 years in ice, frozen, wakes up and has to fight a bunch of aliens with a bunch of weirdos—he is trying to figure out what his life is.” Directors Anthony and Joe Russo are taking over the franchise from f
