BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Penelope Cruz Joins The Counselor

As expected, Penelope Cruz has joined the stellar cast of the Ridley Scott -directed The Counselor , and I’m told that she is planning to team up again this summer with director Pedro Almodovar in Los Amantes Pasajeros, the comedy he will shoot this summer in Madrid. The title’s translation is The Brief Lovers, and reports say it’s about an affair on an airplane. It is what the actress considers a special collaboration between herself and Almodovar, whose films together include Broken Embraces, Volver, All About My Mother and Live Flesh. Cruz joins Paz Vega, Lola Dueñas, Javier Cámara, Cecelia Roth, Carlos Areces, Raúl Arévalo and José Maria Yazpik. In The Counselor , Cruz will star with Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem and Cameron Diaz in a drama that has been called No Country For Old Men on steroids. Why Battleship Was A Flop. Director Explains

Though Disney's John Carter took the brunt of the heat for being this year's first flop, another big-budget extravaganza actually did worse: the board-game-inspired alien invasion flick Battleship . To date, Battleship has grossed $59.8 million in North America—nearly $7 million less than John Carter brought in by its fourth week. The film's director, Peter Berg , has finally opened up about the epic flop. He said via The Huffington Post that he hopes to learn from the experience and (hopefully) move on to a more successful project in the future. "I have a movie in theaters right now which has obviously underperformed in many ways. When [a movie] doesn't work, it's an ... interesting opportunity to look at what went wrong and how it went wrong." As for what actually went wrong? According to Berg the concept, and the budget propping it up, were just too "big." "It was a movie that I tried as hard as I could to get inside of. But t

THE GREY Blu-Ray Review By: Matt C

THE GREY Blu-Ray Review By: Matt C THE GREY is an uncompromising, engrossing film that suffers from a dissapointing Blu-ray release. Warning: plot spoilers ahead. Liam Neeson Interview For THE GREY Part 1- Death is uncompromising and unrelenting. No matter your physique, personality, or social standing, death will find you regardless if you're ready for it or not. This is where  THE GREY  exists, thriving on that moment when the end of life arrives. The Grey is less man-vs-wolf showdown, more about how man deals with imminent danger and even death. Each scene of this film is difficult to watch and that's a good thing, from the hostile environment of the frozen wastes of Alaska to the way each of our characters meets their end. In a world where Hollywood glorifies the hero standing in triumph,  THE GREY  is a winner for its realistic view of the way people face death.
