BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

DRIVE Movie Review By Rama

DRIVE Movie Review By: Rama So what did Ramascreen think of Drive ? Come read his review and see what he thought of the movie. Please make sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . DRIVE is the best gangster film since The Departed. Ryan Gosling ’s performance is reminiscent of young Robert DeNiro when he ruled the ’70s cinema and his character is very much like one of those Samurai warriors who live and die by their code of honor. DRIVE is like Scorsese meets Bullit with music ala Bret Easton Ellis’ adaptations. Beautifully shot, director Nicolas Winding Refn has found his latest masterpiece, an instant classic. DRIVE is simply the best film of 2011.. Ryan Gosling stars as a Los Angeles wheelman for hire, stunt driving for movie productions by day and steering getaway vehicles for armed heists by night. Though a loner by nature, Driver can’t help falling in love with his beautiful neighbor Irene ( Carey Mulligan ), a vulnerable young mother dragged into a dangerous underw

Top Gun 3D Flying Into Theaters In 2012

Tony Scott’s 1986 classic Top Gun starring Tom Cruise is being converted to 3D for a theatrical release. A four-minute 'world premiere' preview of the converted film--featuring the 'Danger Zone' aerial flight sequence--was screened Monday at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam. The 2D to 3D conversion is being accomplished at Legend3D, whose CEO Rob Hummel introduced the clip as well as its unique business model during an IBC panel. "We think there is great potential for catalog titles in 3D, but studios have had trouble justifying the expense," Hummel said, explaining that Legend 3D is funding and doing the conversion for Paramount. "As I understand it, they are planning to release it in 3D in early 2012, though I known they want to get Tony Scott’s approval before they go forward," he said, explaining that Legend 3D effectively has a revenue sharing deal with Paramount. "I think Top Gun lends itself to 3D

Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol Poster

We're already rather looking forward to Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol just because it daringly breaks away from colon-focused punctuation of the series to date. As a bonus, it also has Pixar's Brad Bird directing, a heck of a cast assembled and some very promising trailers so far. Move Trailer- The official synopsis describes the plot thusly: "The IMF is shut down when it’s implicated in a global terrorist bombing plot. Ghost Protocol is initiated and Ethan Hunt and his rogue new team must go undercover to clear their organization’s name. No help, no contact, off the grid. You have never seen a mission grittier and more intense than this." See entire poster after the Jump... That "grittier" element would explain the hoodie, of course. This latest poster seems to be very much in line with that still we saw a few weeks ago in that Cruise is clearly still down with the kids in his hoodie. Keaton & Monaghan To Star In "Penthouse North"

Michael Keaton and Michelle Monaghan will star in Penthouse North , a psychological thriller being directed by Joseph Ruben. Lionsgate is handling foreign sales for the thriller and is shopping it in Toronto. The pic will begin production in Canada’s capital, Ottawa, in November. The plot centers on a photojournalist ( Monaghan ) haunted by a tragic event who has escaped from the world in an upscale New York penthouse. The world comes after her with a vengeance in the form of a smooth but sadistic criminal ( Keaton ) looking for a hidden fortune, with the woman mustering her inner strength to survive. David Loughery, who wrote the thrillers Obsessed and Lakeview Terrace, penned Penthouse and is also producing. Monaghan will be in Toronto for the premiere of Machine Gun Preacher, the Marc Forster movie in which she stars opposite Gerard Butler. She was last seen in Summit’s Source Code. Mel Gibson Is Going To Make "Judah Maccabee" Film

It’s a project that will have everybody in Hollywood and beyond talking.  Warner Bros has set up an untitled drama that teams Gibson and screenwriter Joe Eszterhas on the telling of the heroic story of Jewish warrior Judah Maccabee . Eszterhas will write the script, and I understand that Gibson will collaborate with him. Maccabee teamed with his father and four brothers to lead the Jewish revolt against the Greek-Syrian armies that had conquered Judea in the second century B.C. Gibson has the first option to direct but will definitely produce the film through his Icon Productions banner. It’s understandable why Warner Bros would want to be back in business with Gibson, who was once a high-profile fixture there and who made a fortune for that studio with the Lethal Weapon series and other films. Having put some painful personal issues behind him, Gibson is determined to get back to making movies. He has long wanted to make this film about heroic Jews, and it was discussed even whe
