BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

68th Golden Globe Awards Winners

They don't exactly carry the cache of the Oscars, but the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards were handed out last night in America, and there were good results for several films, including The Social Network (which took the drama screenplay, score, director and film awards) and The King’s Speech (a somewhat unsurprising drama actor win for Colin Firth). Ricky Gervais was the host for the evening, his second stint behind the podium for the Globes, and he started as he meant to go on, launching a torrent of gags about Charlie Sheen, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s recent financial scandals and various subjects that had the crowd alternately chuckling and jeering. Not sure if he’ll be invited back next year, but at least he made a stab at getting beyond the usual bland backslapping. And let’s face it – when you hire Gervais for a second time, and allow him to drink again, what do you really expect? But back to the awards themselves - it was a good night for The Kids Are

5 Key Changes To Spider-Man Costume

Thanks to MTV's crack staff that did all this hard work to find 5 key changes in the new Spider-Man costume. The first image of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man was released yesterday , and the online world is buzzing about what it could mean for the upcoming reboot of the blockbuster film franchise. While there are certainly a lot of questions to be asked about Peter Parker's bloodied and bruised condition in the photo, the image also reveals some interesting changes made to Spider-Man's iconic costume. The lean and lanky Garfield casts a very different shadow as Spidey than the franchise's former star, Tobey Maguire, and given what we can tell from the photo, the familiar red-and-blue costume seems to have undergone a reboot of sorts, too. After staring intently at the photo without blinking for the last few hours, I've come up with five notable changes in Spider-Man's costume gleaned from the new image. Pirates of the Caribbean 5 Is Being Written As We Speak

Even before the release of the newest installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean series. Disney has closed a deal with Terry Rossio to write the fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean. This will be the first one without Ted Elliott, his screenwriting accomplice on the first four pictures. The studio is also making moves to bring back director Rob Marshall for his second voyage on the franchise. This comes as his first effort, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides , is moving through post-production for a May 20, 2011 release. I'm told that Johnny Depp has a deal structure to return for a fifth film that will clearly be drawn up for him to reprise Jack Sparrow, though it's too early to consider him locked. The studio and Jerry Bruckheimer are consumed with the fourth installment, but Rossio's deal is done. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Deadline

Alien Prequel Retitled Prometheus

The Alien prequel is dead and a new Ridley Scott project has been reborn. Fox has announced that instead of making a much-talked about Alien movie, the project has been reconfigured as an original sci-fi movie, titled Prometheus , with Scott still at the helm and with Noomi Rapace to star. Showing how serious it is about the movie, Fox has set a March 9, 2012 release date. Damon Lindelof is working together with Scott on the new script, which was originally written by Jon Spaihts and based on an idea by Scott. It was under Lindelof that the project morphed into something more original. “While Alien was indeed the jumping off point for this project, out of the creative process evolved a new, grand mythology and universe in which this original story takes place,” said Scott in a statement. “The keen fan will recognize strands of Alien's DNA, so to speak, but the ideas tackled in this film are unique, large and provocative. I couldn't be more pleased to have found the s

Dynasty Movie On It's Way

Somebody ought to call Joan Collins , because " Dynasty " creators Richard and Esther Shapiro are planning to bring the iconic nighttime soap opera to the big screen, the duo announced on Wednesday. The news comes on the heels of 20th Century Fox's DVD release of "The A-Team," the latest in a series of popular TV shows that have made the jump to features. That list also includes " Charlie's Angels ," " Starsky & Hutch ," " Sex and the City " and Sony's upcoming revamp of " 21 Jump Street ." “The time is right,” said Esther Shapiro. “Nostalgia has always been big, but we want to take it a step further. We want to go back to the beginning with these characters and use the film to trace their roots. We’re taking Blake Carrington back to his young manhood and when he met Alexis, and setting the movie in the 'Mad Men' era of the 1960s. It will give us the opportunity to start fresh, without the constra

The Kennedys To Air On DirectTV?

The Kennedys is an upcoming eight-hour miniseries chronicling the lives of the famous Kennedy family and the tragedies they have suffered. It will star Greg Kinnear, Katie Holmes, Barry Pepper and Tom Wilkinson among others. The miniseries was directed by Jon Cassar and was to be shown on History Television in Canada and on History in the U.S. in 2011. In January 2011 it was announced that the mini-series would not be shown on the American History channel and that a new American broadcaster is being sought. DirectTV has emerged as a potential savior for The Kennedys, the controversial miniseries that was dropped by the History channel. “We are considering the possibility but no decision has been made,” a DirectTV rep tells THR amid an online report that the network was in talks with Kennedys producers Muse Entertainment and Asylum Entertainment. If a deal happens, the satellite service would air the 8-part mini-series on its Channel 101, solidifying its status as something of

The past few days a scanned copy of this photo appeared on every single website, but I was waiting for a high quality picture to post rather then the scan imaged. Charlie’s Angels Coming To ABC

Charlie’s Angels  will be coming to ABC next year. The pilot has been greenlit by the network. This move has been long expected, but now the project is firmly moving forward, along with Smallville writer-producers Miles Millar and Al Gough. The new modern-day version of the show will be set in Miami. The producers (Leonard Goldberg, Drew Barrymore, Nancy Juvonen), Sony Pictures TV and Flower Films will now dive into casting to figure out the tricky task of finding TV’s new Angels. We hear there’s an offer out to Mark Piznarski (Gossip Girl) to direct. Are you going to give this show a chance? Remakes have traditionally struggled to find viewers on broadcast, though CBS’ showed with Hawaii Five-0 that you can pull off a primetime hit with a classic title. And Angels is certainly on-brand for a network that has a strong female following with shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. But ABC is riding high this fall with its adaptation of another such property, "V,&q
