But it was well worth a rent for sure. Now it looks like there is talk about a sequel getting made. "We're talking about it right now actually," he said. Where could the story go? "Hopefully somewhere a little darker. I think there's a lot you can do with it. It was sort of set up in a way it's gonna be mother hunting son and possibly even maybe sister hunting brother. We're talking about it, trying to figure it out."  Early 2008 sci-fi release directed by Doug Liman ? Hayden Christensen stars as a young man who, thanks to a genetic hiccup, is gifted with the ability to teleport himself anywhere in an instant. Hunting Christensen is Samuel L. Loud & Incredibly Close Sandra Bullock & Tom Hanks

Loud & Incredibly Close To Star Sandra Bullock & Tom Hanks Paramount and Warner Bros. are set to partner on Jonathan Safran Foer’s 2005 Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close: A Novel , with Stephen Daldry to direct two Oscar-winners, Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks . The deals are not yet closed. Warners grabbed rights to the book, then brought in Rudin and Paramount. It has not yet been determined which studio will take domestic or foreign. The two studios partnered on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Another Oscar-winner, screenwriter Eric Roth (Forrest Gump) adapted the book, which like Foer’s 2002 debut bestseller, Everything is Illuminated (which was made into an indie film by actor/director Liev Schreiber in 2005), involves multiple narrators and time frames. Bullock and Hanks will take on the parents of a brainy nine-year-old vegan/scientist/artist/pacifist who plays a tambourine (recalling the drummer-hero of Gunther Grass’s The Tin Drum). He searches for a loc

David Slade To Direct Wolverine 2

"Eclipse" Director David Slade To Direct Wolverine 2 That it's come down to two directors vying to call the shots on Fox's sequel to Wolverine: Twilight: Eclipse director David Slade , and Robert Schwentke (Flightplan, The Time Traveler's Wife). Both men have been approved by the studio's brass, and though Jackman will ultimately be the one to make the call after meeting with each next week, a well-placed source inside the production insists, "It's going to be Slade." As for the plot, McQuarrie's last draft from January has us rejoining Logan in Japan, where we left him at the end of the first Origins movie. There, he begins a forbidden romance with a Japanese woman whose hand in marriage is, unfortunately, promised to another man. This being Hugh Jackman , of course, he doesn't take no for an answer. And, this being Japan, that doesn't go over so well. Soon enough, Logan must do battle with her furious father and samurai-sword-w

Bob Marley Biopic On It's Way

Bob Marley Biopic On It's Way Jenny Ash , the UK director who has been nominated for an Emmy for America – The Story of Us , is developing a biopic of reggae legend Bob Marley . Ash’s feature will concentrate on the year Marley spent living in London in 1977. This was a crucial year for Marley. He’d fled Jamaica after an attempt was made on his life; the year ended with him sustaining a soccer injury which eventually triggered full-blown cancer. It was the year of punk rock; in London Marley hung out with the Sex Pistols. It was also the year of his legendary Rainbow Theatre gig. Crucially, he also started an affair with Jamaican beauty queen Cindy Breakspeare, who had just been crowned Miss World. Ash tells me she sees the biopic as a love triangle between Marley, his wife Rita and Breakspeare, whom Ash has spent time with in Jamaica. “There’s never been a fiction film about Marley,” Ash tells me. “We’ve never had a sense of him as a real man, as opposed to the legend."
