Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Is Ready For Some "Protectio n" Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is attached to star in the action-thriller "Protection," replacing Clive Owen in the lead role, an individual familiar with the project told TheWrap. Simon West was previously attached to direct Paul Walker in the project, which was formerly set up at Warner Bros. The script by Brandon Noonan follows a disgraced former Special Forces soldier who takes on a Mexican cartel in an attempt to rescue and protect a judge's 21 year-old daughter, who has been targeted by the cartel for agreeing to testify against one of its members after she witnesses her father's murder. Friday The 13th Sequel Is Dead Jason is really dead?  You can never say never with this guys but it sure looks like there will not be a sequel to the 2009 Friday the 13th remake. @Mayroth_Tucker3's tweet asking Platinum Dunes producer Brad Fuller, "Hows the F13 sequel coming along?" Fuller replied, "it is dead- not happening." Bummer news after hearing that New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. were aiming to have the film in theaters for August 13, 2010. Kristen Stewart Replacing Angelina Jolie In Wanted 2? Kristen Stewart better hop her ass into the gym if she wants to tackle this role. I just don't see her as a bad ass assassin, but I have been wrong before. Kristen Stewart maybe replacing Angelina Jolie as the female lead in the Wanted sequel along side James McAvoy. Not a whole lot to go on now. Our insider says Kristen was approached to fill Jolie's hot-woman void in the franchise and met at least once with Timur Bekmambetov, the director of the series. Kristen is set to start filming Breaking Dawn possibly as early as October, while the Wanted follow-up was originally slated to start shooting around the end of August. No production date has been set in stone for the final Twilight flick(s), which is making it difficult, we're told, for many of the actors involved in the vampire franchise to figure out their schedule allowed for outside projects. Is Bad Boys 3 Going To Happen? Who isn't a fan of the Bad Boys films? Well we got an update on what might or might not be happening.  And please please do not make this film in 3D, I know it's trendy right now to make films in 3D, but not this film.  "It's real realistic," the comedian revealed , addressing rumors that he'll re-team with Bay and the former Fresh Prince once again. "We've talked about 'Bad Boys 3.' " "Any time you can get Big Willie to come out and talk about doing a third installment of a hot movie like 'Bad Boys,' you have to take notice," Lawrence explained. "I met with Michael Bay, and he said he's onboard too — so it's real." Writer Peter Craig is putting together a script for Columbia, and the "Bad Boys" team is ready. Predators: Come Meet Isabelle Want to get to know Isabelle , who is played by Alice Braga in the upcoming Predators film. This is the Third in the series of getting to know some of the cast. Isabelle is special ops shooter with the gift, in need of redemption. The film follows a mercenary named Royce who is abducted by alien creatures known as the Predators. He is released on an alien world which acts as a game reserve—along with seven other humans, where they are hunted by a group of predators as well as a new updated version nicknamed the Black Super Predator. While battling to survive against these creatures, they also stumble across an American soldier known as Noland who was brought to the planet years ago as game, but has managed to survive by hiding from the Predators in a cave. Shrek (Mike Myers) has become a domesticated family man. Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, the grown-reluctant ogre agrees to autograph pitch forks. Men In Black 3 To Be Shot In 3D Barry Sonnenfeld told Showbiz 411 that in fact “Men in Black 3-D” is ready to roll. Will Smith has signed on, Tommy Lee Jones is in, and a script is awaited. Sonnenfeld says it is so. Why not? Everything else is, and this is one movie that might be cool in the process. Nevertheless, you can bet Sony is juiced to get this puppy moving since “Spider Man 4″ fell apart. They are in desperate need of a blockbuster for next Memorial Day May 2011.
