Mark Strong Talks Sinestro In The Green Lantern

Mark Strong Talks Sinestro In The Green Lantern Mark Strong has been on fire as a go to villain for every film. From Sherlock Holmes to the upcoming film Kick-Ass. There are a huge group of fans that are excited to finally see Green Lantern coming to the big screen and you can put my name on that list.  Mark spoke to USA Weekend about his role in the upcoming film.  Not a hole lot was said but if you are a fan of Green Lantern then you pretty much know what kind of villain he is. What Strong could tell us: For anybody who’s familiar with the Green Lantern and the origin story, the film closely follows the early comics. Sinestro starts out as Hal Jordan’s mentor, slightly suspicious and not sure of him because obviously Hal is the first human being who’s made into a Green Lantern. He’s certainly very strict and certainly unsure of the wisdom of Hal becoming a Green Lantern. He is a military guy but isn’t immediately bad. It’s the kind of person he is that lends himself to becomi

Chuck Cast Interviews Part Two Zachary Levi, Joshua Gomez And Adam Baldwin

Chuck Cast Interviews Part Two Zachary Levi, Joshua Gomez And Adam Baldwin At Wonder Con this past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Chuck round table interview session. This is part two of my interviews with the cast of the NBC show Chuck. To read part one of my interview with Chris Fedak And Josh Schwartz click Here . If you have ever attend one of these things then you know how crazy and fast pace they are.  You have to be brave and just ask your questions without hesitation and that is what I did. I had the opportunity to talk to the stars of the show Zachary Levi ( Chuck ), Joshua Gomez ( Morgan ) And Adam Baldwin ( KC ). This is my second interview with Zachary Levi, I had gotten the chance to ask him a few things at last years Comic Con. Once the cast took their seats every reporter put out out their tape recording devices near the actors. Joshua ask everyone "Where are the ipads?" Zachary said  "Apparently no one lined up to go get one." And t

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Has Sunk Its Teeth Into A Director?

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Has Sunk Its Teeth Into A Director? Has Summit entertainment found it's director for the upcoming film Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn ? We are told that there is a strong chance that Dreamgirls and Gods and Monsters director Bill Condon is the front runner for the directing chair. Condon was among a list of A-list directors approved by Summit and Twilight author Stephenie Meyer. That list included Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola and Fernando Meirelles.  And if Summit wanted a big time director then they just might have found their man. There is talk that  Breaking Dawn will begin shooting will begin in the fall, and I heard the plan is to shoot two films back to back. The Twilight job came open when The Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz decided not to reprise, despite directing a film that grossed $707 million worldwide., almost doubling the Catherine Hardwicke-directed original's $385 million worldwide gross. Hollywood hasn't g

Tony Scott's Next Film To Star Statham, Bardem And Rourke

Tony Scott's Next Film To Star Statham , Bardem And Rourke Tony Scott next films is shaping up to be Potzdamer Platz ,  the title refers to a train station and bustling commerce center in Germany. I am sure before the production date of this film, the title will change. The cast that he has lined up for this film is shaping up pretty nice. He has Javier Bardem, Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke on board.  And we are told he is trying to get Gene Hackman into starring. A insider has told deadline that's not going to happen. Hackman who last starred in 2004’s Welcome to Mooseport—is content writing books and narrating commercials for Home Depot and isn’t eager to return to the screen. The film is about  two soldiers in a New Jersey-based crime family who try to expand internationally. Scott and his Scott Free banner have been working on Potzdamer Platz since the script was acquired in 2000. The script by Buddy Giovinazzo has been rewritten by the Sexy Beast team of Davi

Starz's "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" Keeping It's Viewers

Starz's "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" Keeping It's Viewers If you haven't seen this show then you are missing out on one of the best shows on TV right now. The series focuses on the historical figure of Spartacus (played by Andy Whitfield), a Thracian gladiator who from 73 to 71 BC led a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic. Executive producers Steven S. DeKnight and Robert Tapert focused on structuring the events of Spartacus' obscure early life leading to the records of history. Several of cable's big-ticket midseason shows are getting a lukewarm response from viewers, but there's at least one new series demonstrating growth potential. Among the current field of major scripted projects on cable -- including Syfy's "Caprica," AMC's "Breaking Bad" and TNT's "SouthlandSouthland" -- it's the ratings for Starz's "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" that buck the trend. Though the drama has

“Tron Legacy” To Get A Sequel

“Tron Legacy” To Get A Sequel The film isn't even out until December of this year, but we got word that Disney already is putting a sequel on fast track. Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, the “Lost” writers/co-executive producers who worked on “Legacy,” have begun writing a sequel to the studio’s sci-fi tentpole. No details have been released because it is so early in the process. Notwithstanding the question of whether the movie will be a hit, other topics to ponder are whether the sequel will focus on spinoff characters or center on a new adventure set in the “Tron” world. Insiders have suggested that Kitsis and Horowitz are working on a way to round the story into a trilogy. No deals have been made with “Legacy” director Joseph Kosinski or cast members to return, though options were placed in the original deals, and Disney surely would hope to reunite all the elements if “Legacy” proves to be a hit.
