BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

New Star War Animated Series Coming Soon

New Star War Animated Series Coming Soon IESB has heard from the little birds over at Lucas Ranch, that George Lucas is is currently in pre-production on yet another Star Wars animated series. I am not surprised with this news with the success of the Animated Clone Wars series. The target audience he is looking for are Pre-School to Kindergarten aged children, yes, the Star Wars: Galactic Heroes will be gracing televisions very soon. And I do have my collection of Galactic Heroes. Lucas is trying to keep Star Wars alive by going after the younger generation, which is a very smart thing to do. Some kids at that Pre-School age are too young to watch the films so why not go with something they can relate to. Of course most adults have a love for Star Wars, why not start younger? The working title for the TV series is believed to be "Squishies." Please Leave A Comment- Source- IESB

Our First Look At Dwayne Johnson In "Faster"

Our First Look At Dwayne Johnson In "Faster" Dwayne Johnson makes his way back into adult oriented films with "Faster". Faster, the story of an ex-con (Johnson) who is out to avenge his brother's murder. The film, directed by Notorious' George Tillman, also stars Billy Bob Thornton,Moon Bloodgood,Maggie Grace and Carla Gugino Johnson steadies the Ruger double-action revolver — known as a "bear stopper" because hunters often carry the gun to stop charging animals — and pulls the trigger. Though he's firing blanks, the thunder echoes through the halls, prompting film crewmembers to cover their ears, though many are wearing headphones. He fires again. And again. When the gun is empty, he smiles broadly. "That," he says, "feels nice." How do you know this isn't the Johnson of kid-friendly The Game Plan and Return to Witch Mountain? For starters, Johnson gets shot in the head. "Isn't that great?" Johnson say

Trailer For The Mechanic Starring Jason Statham

Trailer For The Mechanic Starring Jason Statham The 1972 film The Mechanic, has been remade and this time it stars bad ass Jason Statham playing the lead role. And Ben Foster starring opposite Statham. The film is directed by Simon West(Con Air and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) The movie is an action-thriller that centers on an assassin and his apprentice. This trailer is pretty awesome, I love what director Simon West is doing with it, this movie is going to be a classic Statham action flick. Note that this is a sales trailer, rather than a teaser or final theatrical trailer. It is meant for distributors, rather than audiences. The film doesn’t yet have distribution, and consequently there is no release date or timeframe for a real theatrical trailer. As is often the case with sales trailers, the quality here is a bit low, which doesn’t help minimize the whole TV-ish aesthetic. Please Leave A Comment- Source- /Films

Columbia Pictures Doesn't Want Reitman For Ghostbusters 3

Columbia Pictures Doesn't Want Reitman For Ghostbusters 3 Seems like Columbia Pictures doesn't want Ivan Reitman to direct the upcoming film Ghostbusters 3, they feel that they should go in a different direction and get a younger director for the film. In the same sense as they have done to the Spider-Man franchise by hiring on (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb. But hold on Columbia,Reitman's old contract — made at the height of his and Ovitz's powers — still gives him exceptional creative control over the series, including director approval. "Those deals were made in the eighties,” explains one insider. “So his rights in this circumstance have a great deal of teeth.” Therefore, while it’s true that Reitman can’t force Columbia to make Ghostbusters III with him, he can make it nearly impossible for the studio to make the film without him. In fact, a source tells us that Reitman and all three original principals (Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Harold Ramis …

HBO's "The Pacific" Scores Decent With The Ratings

HBO's "The Pacific" Scores Decent With The Ratings HBO's "The Pacific" got off to a fair start on Sunday evening, delivering 3.1 million viewers. That's 22% higher than the debut of HBO's last miniseries, "John Adams," and "The Pacific" tally grew to 4 million with its encore airing. Still, HBO has to be somewhat disappointed with this number. "The Pacific" is the biggest production in the network's history and this is only 69% higher than the time period norm. The miniseries' predecessor, 2001's "Band of Brothers," debuted to 10 million viewers (Nielsen has since changed the way pay cable networks are calculated, however, and these are no longer apples-to-apples comparisons). Even with its larger premiere number, "Brothers" was considered a slow-starter whose success was secured in heavy repeat viewing and DVD sales. "The Pacific" could easily gather steam too, especially with c

David Fincher To Direct The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

David Fincher To Direct The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo The books are still flying out of the bookstores, and the Swedish film trilogy has just begun its UK release. But lest we forget, Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest, has also caught Hollywood's attention. After some difficult rights negotiations with the still-in-flux Larsson estate, Sony inked a deal for the English-language versions late last year, with Scott Rudin producing and Steve Zaillian having a crack at the first screenplay. And now, according to NY Magazine's Vulture , David Fincher is circling the project. Also mentioned in Vulture's piece, connected to the heroine role of snarky Asperger's hacker genius Lisbeth Salander is current hot ticket Carey Mulligan, said to be top of the producers' wish list (although it's pointed out that practically every young actress in Hollywood and
