BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

TV Review: Supergirl "Pilot"

Superman's cousin makes capes fun again. Review by Brandon Wolfe We open on an extremely familiar scene. The planet Krypton is in the final throes of self-destruction and a tearful couple is placing their baby into a small spacecraft with promises of the child’s survival and prosperity on the distant world of Earth. The scene that comes directly after, however, is less familiar. A young girl is also being dispatched into the stars by her parents, with the explicit instructions to guard that baby in the new world. This is Kara Zor-El, the older cousin to this infant, whom our world will come to know as Superman. But Kara’s mission gets a two-decade layover right out of the gate when her pod gets trapped in the Phantom Zone. By the time Kara does make it to Earth, her cousin has already grown into his destiny and he’s the one who shepherds Kara into her new life, setting her up with an adoptive family of trusted scientists. Kara ultimately finds herself immersed in a thankless job

First Glimpse From #Arrow Season 4

The CW has delivered the first images from Arrow season 4 in all it's glory. We get our real first look at Diggle in his new costume, a glimpse of Star City and a greener Arrow. See all the images after the Jump... Please Leave A Comment-

First Image Of Diggle From ARROW Season 4

Oliver isn’t the only one sporting a new suit when Arrow returns for season 4. I'm not a big fan of this costume. As revealed at Comic-Con, season 4 finds Diggle ( David Ramsey ) actually wearing a super suit, despite never being a fan of them. “We try to be very consistent with our characterization,” EP Marc Guggenheim recently told EW of Diggle’s reaction to the suit. “I don’t think Diggle looks at it as a costume per se,” he continues. “Oliver [Stephen Amell], in the last season, gave him advice in terms of concealing his identity, and so Diggle approaches it from a very practical standpoint. He followed Oliver’s advice and he’s got a means of concealing his identity, but I think Diggle would probably react to anyone calling it a costume.” Arrow is slated to return Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. Constantine's Matt Ryan Set to Appear on 'Arrow'

The announcement most likely comes after strong Twitter support for Ryan's return. Story by Matt Cummings Is it possible that the Internet is once in awhile a force for good? When NBC pulled the plug last season on its rookie effort Constantine , there was an almost instant cry from fans: get him into another DC show as soon as possible. The problem was where would he land and for how long would he be around. Both questions were answered on Tuesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, when it was announced that Actor Matt Ryan would reprise his role as John Constantine in one episode of season four of The CW's Arrow . Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim more than likely is now a fanboy fave when he said the following about Ryan's return: "We are thrilled to have Matt Ryan reprise the role of John Constantine on an upcoming episode of Arrow," said. "Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved ch

#Arrow Sees Another Villain Join Season 4

See what role a Sons of Liberty star will play opposite Oliver Queen. Story by Matt Cummings Season 3 of CW's Arrow is the books, but audiences weren't happy with the results, although it did start off strong. Focusing on the death of Black Canary (Caity Lotz), the destruction of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) by Ra's al Ghul (Matthew Nable), the rise of Atom (Brandon Routh) and his on-again/off-again relationship with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), the season still left audiences with mixed feelings. Producer and Co-Creator Greg Berlanti are hoping to change that by adding a series of new villains for the now-defunct Arrow to hunt. Thursday saw the signing of Sons of Liberty star Jimmy Akingbolais to play Baron Reiter, who will appear in flashbacks. While only comic fans will know of his character, Baron Reiter is the Nazi super villain Baron Blitzkreig, leader of the criminal organization Shadowspire. The organization first made their appearance

Stephen Amell Says He's Done With The Arrow Suit

We analyze Amell's comment and the revelation after the jump. WARNING: This story contains spoilers. Story by Matt Cummings As the CW's Arrow bowed out last week to end Season 3, a ton of questions were raised about what lies in store for Season 4, some of them causing quite the stir on the Interwebs. For one, the episode - titled, My Name is Oliver Queen - showed The Arrow (Stephen Amell) walking away from both the title of Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins as well as his hero persona. The episode felt like a series finale, as Queen/Arrow/the former Ras drove off into the sunset with long-time friend/now lover Felicity Smoke (Emily Bett Rickards). But questions remain. We know Arrow is returning next year with Amell, and with Damien Dahrk poised as the next bad guy Queen will take on, it shouldn't be too long before we see Oliver put on the green suit once again. But in doing so, that could undo all of the events of Season 3, in which t

Network Pilot Season Has Begun

The Big 5 deciding what they expect us to watch this fall. By Brandon Wolfe Pilot season has commenced as the networks have begun their first round of pickups. NBC has ordered the dramas The Player , Chicago Med , Blindspot and Heartbreaker to series. Also in contention are Warrior , Game of Silence , The Curse of the Fuentes Women and Love Is a Four Letter Word . The network is really pinning its rebirth hopes on drama rather than comedy, the genre upon which it built an empire in the ‘80s and ‘90s. The crop given the go-ahead today will join fellow dramas Shades of Blue , Emerald City and pointless reboot/event series Heroes: Reborn in the fall. On the comedy front, NBC has a number of prospects, including Superstore , Strange Calls , People Are Talking , a pointless small-screen reboot of Problem Child , How We Live and Cuckoo . Already ordered are Telenovela starring Eva Longoria and, yet one more pointless reboot, Coach . Fox will be adding its television adapt

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Spin-Off Being Developed

Marvel series to open another espionage branch. By Brandon Wolfe As the old saying goes, if something’s irreparably broke, make more of it, and thus Marvel is making plans for a spin-off to perennial televised disappointment Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Executive producer Jeffrey Bell and writer Paul Zbyszewski are developing the new show, which will not be instigated as a back-door pilot by the parent series, in the manner that The Flash was birthed from Arrow . The concept behind S.H.I.E.L.D. 2 has yet to be revealed, but given that the current storyline in the existing series has introduced a second branch of the spy agency led by Edward James Olmos, there is some speculation that the seeds for the spin-off may have already been planted. Flash/Arrow Spinoff News: Hawkgirl to Join Hero Team-Up

We learn today who one of the three "mystery" heroes will be. Story by Matt Cummings Those new to the superhero-on-television trend might have forgotten the one that started it all: CW's Smallville , a mix of teenage melodrama in its first 8 seasons, and a fairly good superhero tale in its last two. During those final seasons, we were introduced to the mother of all superhero team-ups, The Justice Society of America, which featured Doctor Fate, elder versions of The Flash and The Green Lantern, and Michael Shanks as the nearly-immortal Hawkman. Hidden within the epic "Absolute Justice" was Hawkman's origin story, featuring the story of his dead love, Hawkgirl. Fast forward one disappointing series finale and two very successful - and frankly better - series in The Flash and Arrow , and we've arrived at a sort of full circle. For it was revealed today by Deadline that one of three "mystery heroes" has been cast in the team-up
