The first teaser trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles debuted last month to what could be called a mixed reaction. While the promo certainly made the film appear chock full of action, the main issue for concern was the facial features of Leo, Donny, Mikey and Raph, AKA Our Heroes In A Half Shell* That’s neatly side-stepped by these new teaser posters, which focus instead on the weapons gripped by each turtle. Though it seems some liberties have been taken with the story (especially around who is responsible for the ooze that mutates the turtles in the first place), the basics are here, with Megan Fox as ace reporter April O’Neil, William Fichtner as one of the villains (possibly the least Japanese-seeming Shredder ever, but it’s Fichtner, so he’ll be interesting), and our four main heroes, with performance capture via Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard and Noel Fisher . It might, however, be because Paramount has decided that Oscar-scooping 1990 supernatural romantic drama Ghost is ripe for a TV adaptation. Akiva Goldsman (the writer of A Beautiful Mind who has just turned his hand to directing with Winter’s Tale) and Jeff Pinkner (one of the show runners on Fringe , with which Goldsman was also involved) have been hired to start working on ideas for the show. It'll be based on the tale of Sam Wheat ( Patrick Swayze in the original), who is murdered in what he believes is a botched robbery. He tries desperately to reconnect with his grieving wife ( Demi Moore ) while avenging his untimely shuffle off the mortal coil. New Toy Story 3 Poster Daycare Scare The promotion department over at Disney/Pixar sure have been busy like a bee. It seems like at least twice a week we get a new character poster or just a new poster for the film. I am not complaining by any means. There are some lovely terror-stricken character expressions here as Andy's toys pitch up in the Sunnyside Daycare center, and try to fit into a whole new world of screaming infants and scheming toys.
