Badass to the bone! RAMA is back with another review. Please keep in mind that the following review of Daredevil season 2 is based solely on my having watched the first few episodes, I haven’t seen this new season in its entirety, yet but I’m stoked enough to at least start sharing you my thoughts about it. Just like you, I too was a huge fan of season 1, and my goodness if you think Vincent D’Onofrio’s villainous character, Wilson Fisk, was brutal and merciless, wait till you get a load of everyone’s favorite anti-hero, Frank Castle/Punisher, played by “The Walking Dead” alum, Jon Bernthal In season 1, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) was having a rough start, getting used to this whole vigilante, it was a trial-and-error work-in-progress learning along the way type of work. And now, in season 2, just when Matt thinks he’s getting used to bringing order back to the city, fact of the matter is Wilson Fisk’s absence creates vacuum, every gang in town is fighting to fill the void. Daredevil’s second season brings back Charlie Cox’s blind lawyer-turned-vigilante superhero Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as legal secretary Karen Page, Elden Henson as law partner Foggy Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Vincent D’Onofrio as crime kingpin Wilson Fisk. We also know that Scott Glenn will be back as Matt’s grumpy mentor Stick. New this year will be Elodie Yung as Elektra Natchios, a woman from Matt’s past who will re-enter his life (as is fitting for one of his main love interests in the comics) and Jon Bernthal, who will be tooling up as Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher. For all the current focus on the second Marvel/Netflix series to come down the pipe – Jessica Jones – there’s still more Daredevil to think about. The Man Without Fear will be back on our screens next year and Marvel is reminding the world with a new poster. With Dax Shepard announced as writer, director and star of a cinematic take on cult cop action show CHiPs, we put out a quiet call to the universe for his wife, Kristen Bell to join him. Whaddya know? The universe heard us! Or… Dax just decided it was easier to cast from within his family. Yes, Bell has boarded the film, which finds Shepherd as Office John Baker , who, along with fellow police biker Frank “Ponch” Poncherello (Michael Pena) , must keep the highways and byways free of crime. Which won’t be easy when you’ve got Vincent D’Onofrio as the main villain of the story. Nerdist  is reporting that co-showrunner, Marco Ramirez referred to season 2 as DAREDEVIL VS. THE PUNISHER . They even suggested you to read Marvel Comics’ limited series, “ Daredevil vs. Punisher: Means & Ends ” So is Punisher the big bad villain in this new season because he kills and Daredevil had vowed not to? Perhaps. But now that Kingpin is away in prison, that leads to the city’s other villains to rise and wreak havoc, filling the void and Punisher might be motivated to just end all of them. I guess philosophical clash, much like Batman V Superman, would be the thing that gets Daredevil and Punisher at odds. But what about Elektra and Bullseye?
