Francis Ford Coppola To Returns To Comic-Con

Filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola will be attending the San Diego Comic-Con to present his new film Twixt on Saturday, July 23. Here's the press release: Francis Ford Coppola will be presenting portions of his upcoming film TWIXT at a panel discussion on Saturday, July 23 at Hall H. TWIXT stars Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, Elle Fanning, and Ben Chaplin . Coppola describes the film as, “one part Gothic romance, one part personal film, and one part the kind of horror film that began my career.” Coppola has a unique new approach to the presentation of the film that will incorporate live music by acclaimed independent performance artist Dan Deacon. Deacon will attend Comic-Con with Coppola to help demonstrate the interactive experience of the film. The film incorporates both 2-D and 3-D elements. Val Kilmer To Saddle Up Again In The First Ride of Wyatt Earp

Val Kilmer is returning to the Wild West, playing the title role in indie Western " The First Ride of Wyatt Earp ." Mike Feifer is directing from a script by Darren Benjamin Shepherd, and production is under way in California. Based on a true story, pic finds an elderly Earp sitting down with a reporter to reflect on the ride that made him a legend, when the young marshal rounded up a posse to track down the outlaw who mistakenly murdered the woman he loved. Daniel Booko ("Glory Daze") plays Spike Kennedy, and popular recording artist Trace Adkins ("The Lincoln Lawyer") plays his father. "American Idol" finalist Diana DeGarmo is also onboard as the object of young Earp's affection. Matt Dallas ("Kyle XY") co-stars as Bat Masterson, while Wilson Bethel plays Doc Holliday. Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans From the moment it was announced, there was something a tad loony about the idea of remaking -- or revisiting or reinventing or whatever they want to call it -- Abel Ferrara's 1992 "Bad Lieutenant," with Werner Herzog , no less, directing.
